Audiophile Grade Wall Receptacle
OYAIDE SWO-XXX ULTIMO B/P or Oyaide R 1 for less money and less performance.  I’ve run both and kept the SWO-XXX.  They really do sound different, both markedly improved the sound.  I’ve no experience with others mentioned.
First CD player help!
+1 ericsch   I run that player and for the money, well it's very decent and of course one may add an external DAC and greatly improve it.  The shoebox design I like also.  Very solid build.  Cheers
Why has focal raised their prices so much on Sopra line
+1 clearthinker    The market really is the market.  Period.  IMHO there is no other explanation for a 120K DeRanged Rover or a 1m diamond.  Neither is particularly rare,...certainly not needed. The very best toward achieving your audio goals.
Celestion SL600 Expertise Needed
Not a huge fan of jumpers, although they do work.  I would do the shotgun wire with (+ - ) each channel at the amplifier end and 2 (+ -) banana terminal pairs at the speaker end.  So that’s 2 spreading into 4 each channel.  Pay attention to plus m...
What Class A is better? SUGDEN FPA-4 or PASS LABS XA-25
Can you really go so wrong with either one?  I've owned several Sugden pieces, still have some.  I like the way they sound for my ear.  Period.  Very quick with immediacy that is difficult to match or beat.  Decent sound stage.  Voices sparkle. No...
ATC SCM 50A active towers review
mofojo    Correct, Weiss 501 DAC directly into ATCs with Wireworld Silver Eclipse 8  interconnects XLR both ends.  DAC is the preamp.  Have NOT messed with DSP yet.  Waiting for full break-in of both pieces first.  Cheers
DAC Merry Go 'Round- why I stopped at Weiss
Congratulations!  The Weiss 501 is a Tour de Force DAC!  It simply takes hold, organizes and controls the entire affair.  I moved from the Mojo Mystique 3 which is quite good to the 501 and never looked back.  Of course, there is a price discrepan...
Best Isolation Device for Speakers?
tobes  Thanking for responding in detail about your credible experience and knowledge with isolation devices AND the Isoacoustic Gaia footers.  I run the Gaia I under my ATC 50A actives with great affect, but respect that the Townshend may well be...
Focal trio 11 be
Have not.  However, quite familiar with active speakers and will never go backwards (IMHO).  Started with Quad 12L active, moved onto ATC 40A active and presently and quite recently ATC 50A active. The Focal Trio 11 Be should be thrilling!  All o...
I heard a costly system from Esoteric.
13K for a CD player.  Wow!  I'm trying to wrap my head around that.  I've never heard that player, but I left a rather great CD player years ago and moved to a music server which is miles ahead acoustically.  Resolution, sound staging, attack, dyn...
Is EMI noise in electrical system inaudible?
When living on a mountain on the south side of Innsbruck, my powered on Proton table radio without prompting would occasionally emanate a garbled broadcast.  When I shared the information with locals, they told me that there were some powerful tra...
I miss my Loudness Button and Tone Controls....
To my knowledge, Fletcher and Munson engaged in the research that lead to discovery of human hearing discrepancies at different frequencies. https://www.teachmeaudio.com/recording/sound-reproduction/fletcher-munson-curves Hence, the Loudnes...
A Warning for Owners of Furman IT Refernence 20i
Owned a 15i Elite for years and it functioned flawlessly.  Replaced with Decware ZLC which smoked (figuratively) it completely.  The ZLC made everything much quieter and more dynamic.  So, in a weird way, perhaps the smoked unit did you a favor an...
Whither Vitus?
Or….you might talk to the dealer from whence the Fyne speakers came.  That’s an assumption…..from a dealer.  Otherwise +1 for armstrod.  Big Ear Stereo sells Fyne speakers, that would also be a resource.
SS Substitute for Tube Integrated?
Under the radar, quite good and yes I own one, the ATC CA2 SS preamp. New it's $3200 so used probably 2.4K. It's very musical and really fast.
