Recommendations for modern integrated with tone & balance controls other than Mcintosh It's Luxman.
I feel it is time to upgrade my 1977 system....... Luxman 590AXll. One stop shopping with 30wpr Class A, MM/MC built-in phono. Run some Duelund 12 gauge speaker cables and you are done. Cheers
If I wanted to make my own speaker cables, is this a good choice for wire? Duelund DCA12GA bare between Luxman 509X and ATC SCM 20 monitors set on Sound Anchor stands and they are superb. Solid bass, sweet midrange and very open on the top end. This is a perfect speaker wire for the money. Perhaps my Decware Silver St...
Puritan 156 Power Cord Well, it's here. The Chris Romeo built Furutech DPS 4.1 with matching Furutech connectors referenced above and it's freaky good. It replaces the stock Puritan PSM 156 cable. The performance annihilates the stock cable in all facets of speed, dy...
Hafler matrix type of home theatre / rear recovery system Posted this a couple of years ago: I’m just going to go at this as I’ve practiced it many times. Normal front speaker set-up. Take long single wire from Rt (+) to Rt rear (+). Repeat same Lt side. Connect both rear speaker (-) terminals with ...
Best tweak Listening chair is an IKEA with headrest. Removed the separate headrest piece so just the open wood frame is behind my head. Much more open sounding.
Sold a component and bought it back, am I nuts? That happened to me with a girlfriend once. Still didn't keep her and trade-in value was not in my favor.
"Audiophile" Power Cables: The Greatest Audio Conspiracy Theory of All Time? An audiophile version of "Mein Kampf". I'm right and everybody else is wrong and stupid. Not enough derisive toxicity in the pool, so you added more. Super gemacht! Presibo.
Puritan 156 Power Cord Chris is building a 20A cord for my Puritan PSM 156. Furutech DPS 4.1 cord stock, with Fl-50 MNCF and FI-52 NCF connectors. His picks after I stated my desire for a no-holds-barred cable. We'll see how it goes. Should be epic.
A Plug For a Power Cable and a Retailer Thank you for clarification and valuable input. Chris is just going to build a whole 1.5m cable. His take: ”I'd be pairing these with Furutech FI-50 MNCF (standard wall plug, though Furu also has a version for 20A wall plugs if you prefer) and ...
A Plug For a Power Cable and a Retailer @audphile1 Please clarify. Best I can determine the Puritan PSM 156 has a type G plug IEC for UK. I own the PSM with their stock cable. So you replaced with Furutech on the IEC end a type G? If you were to do it again, where would you go wi...
Puritan PSM 156 connecting Puritan Grounding Products? Conduct the chase with a professional. I made the complete run with someone smarter than me, Tom at Big Ear Stereo in Tempe. He gave great insight into all of the Puritan products and the why and how of each one. I even grounded all of my compo...
The goal of audio reproduction OP: The goal of audio reproduction. Wow! Seems intolerably myopic in scope. The OP constructed a gross assumption of confined utilization. What about those who enter car audio contests in which the parameters are simply bandwidth and decibel p...
CAT 5 in 2008 built house Through all of this labyrinth, I'm doing CAT 6a through Blue Jeans Cable. It will be temporarily run upstairs until such time I can have someone properly do an in-wall install. Hope that meets with everyone's approval. Thanks everyone.
CAT 5 in 2008 built house It is CAT 5e. I just want to run a crazy length 150 ft. temporarily from the box downstairs to music server upstairs for now. That should work unless told otherwise. Will fix correctly in future. |
