Thin speaker cable
Here is an interesting cable:0.010 thick speaker cableSean mentioned years back about someone going thinner and thinner on I/C's and ended up using conductive paint. Not sure if the same holds true for speaker cable as I/C's but interesting.
Low-cost I/C's
Keep in mind that the short length you are specifying will minimize most cable effects and cable differencesThis is a good point. So probably getting a good terminal like Eichmann would be more important that the I/C itself?
Low-cost I/C's
Yes, these are better than what I found. I like the solid core wire idea. On second thought, the Audioquest silver RCA's I found will corrode faster than gold.Comprehensive looks like the best of the lot, but BH does not sell shorter than 1 meter....
Getting Started
How about Denon DF-101S and get some good speakers to go with it.

Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Put another way, what happens when the recording has reverb and then the omni speaker, by design, intentionally adds more due to room interactions?
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Matrykl The problem with choosing a design concept is that it ignores the execution, which is almost always the more important factor.Which is why I didn't like the Deuval's and most active speakers although I like both concepts. But what do you t...

Hifitime, I like those musical notes. How did you do that?
Dynaudio C1 with more impact
I get "slam" at very low levels with my 4" single driver speaker. Run full-range with no x-over, it is essentially an active speaker. Realizing that "slam" at 55dB listening levels is a relative term. I feel the thump on an emotional level, obviou...
Rising distortion curve
Bob, you bring up some interesting questions. Now compare the Bryston to Fig.10 47 Lab 4706 Gaincard . Gaincard is .4 vs. Bryston's .06 but the rise is much more gradual. Would this suggest a better amp at low listening levels?

Sub blowing Christmas lights?
So forget Christmas and enjoy your sub. Man, you gotta get your priorities straight.
Dynaudio C1 with more impact
Go active. No passive speaker can approach the impact of what an active speaker can do. Take the ATC active 100's for example. Rated for 40 hz. Yea, right. Not all 40 hz is created equal.Don't believe it? Go listen to an active Dynaudio BM15.If y...
