Basic question about power/watts 40 watts is plenty. However, not all 40 watt sources are created equal. If you have a 40 watt amp with a huge power supply and all the current capability, you'll be fine. but if your 40 watt amp is a typical amp with just bearly what it takes t...
can I connect 2 sources directly to power amp (one XLR one RCA) Does the anthem has a selector switch? If not, then the two inputs are just parallel connectors to a single input and hooking them both up generally won't work. I had the same problem with my amp (decware) so I installed a simple selector switch...
Preamp/DAC Suggestions You didn't mention a price range. I use my Chord Dave DAC is a preamp/volume control. Excellent results. I think a lot of your responses are from the most-recommended-components-on-the-internet list. I own and use the Dave every day. Jerry
What is your take on high efficient speakers vs. low efficient speakers? Big fan of high sensitivity speakers especially because they work well with low power SET amps.
Which component to upgrade 1st ? Keep the Qutest. Qutest is best dac under $3k. Avoid the integrated DAC. If you want to upgrade your streamer, the Allo USBridge Signature with Shanti Power supply is very good will leave you $5600 for another component.
Is blasphemous Music ok? I'm in America. It is ok for you.
Name this wonderful system I'm always impressed by people who can judge the sound of a system by listening to a recording of the system on their system. I won't say how I'm impressed, but I'm impressed.
CHORD ELECTRONICS DAC I have Dave. Bought after listening to a friend's Qutest. Qutest is great for price. DAve is awesomer.
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid @theaudioamp I suggested the PS Audio unit because that is something many people here own and the test data will be consistent. The level of electrical knowledge here is generally not very high so buying test equipment and using it competently is...
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid @sns Power out of my PSAudio regenerator is always 119.9 vac. voltage in is generally pretty good but this summer with high air conditioner use in SoCal it is often 115vac. I've also seen 122V. I too have a monitor plugged into an outlet on the ...
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid You should realize that the power coming into your house qualifies as "perfect sine wave" yet it has (at my house) 4-5% THD. I am familiar with PS Audio power regenerators. They analyze the power in with a scope and give you a THD reading for ...
Just curious if any of you are using a device like this? Predictable with people having the belief that they need hundreds of hours to "burn in"......copper.
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid The PS Audio Power plants have a scope and analyse the incoming power. I would really like to see the THD numbers out of the inverter. the sine wave coming off the grid in San Diego has 4-5% THD.
inexpensive streaming setup IMHO you can't beat the Allo USBridge Signature streamer with Shanti power supply. Performs way above it's price.
New streamer, new to streaming You can't get high resolution digital for free but qobuz offers a free trial. use that. |
