why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
We buy these cables to listen to our rap music! Ah duh.  Any way I enjoy my jazz and my cables help with the realism and transparency.

When rap came out 30 years ago I thought it was just a fad
That’s great that no one ever asks for rap music. They are playing it on 5 stations for free all day in most of the markets. It’s all about preferences and exposure. I listen to jazz but I am really knowledgable when it comes to rap. I don’t like ...

Somehow people just think I sit around and listen to rap all day.  I listen occasionally to it. I listen to jazz and blues the most.  I listen to hip hop, r&b and rock as well as some Christian music mixed in.  I'm willing to listen to it all....
So how many people are using subwoofers
Running dual rel s2 subs with my gato fm6

MC 6 power conditioner is fully burned in now. It has about 250 hours on it now.  Great power conditioner at this point. Very open and clear. I also agree with the immediacy description as for as how it makes the music sound.
ENTIRE SYSTEM NEEDED TO SELL
Sorry for your loss.  Try your local dealers first.   Maybe one that he bought from.   Maybe an audiophile friend he trusted that understands the value of the items.

Yup I'm a long time fan too.   Longevity and creativity is there for them.
Most unusual/mesmerizing female voice.

Should we use ridiculously priced cables to listen to Rap?
Yup, wireless on Bluetooth.   So enjoyable.  Lol.  Enjoy your music. Your music. Not mines but your music.  Lol.  Don't talk just listen.

What do you miss about old school hip hop music and why?
I did that to narrow it down.  Try 15, 16, 18, 19.  Probably more of your style
