New Audio Aero Capitole - Mid March
Soundstage has a photo of the new Audio Aero Prestige SACD/CD player
If you had 10k for pre and power amp but you had
The problem is easily solved if you buy a 2000 Supratek Syrah Preamp and spend the rest on an amp - I doubt you could find a better preamp if you spent the whole Enchalada on one alone. Also - I would have to agree 100% with Jafox regarding the dif...
Krell amps with tubed pre-amps
Jayt, So.. the Hovland is lush sounding? From The Stereophile Glossary:lush Rich-sounding and sumptuous to the point of wretched excess.
bad for an amplifier when there is no speakers ?
Recently I had a friends new McIntosh Tube amp in my house (MC-2102) - at the time I was trying to break in a pair of interconnects which ran from my preamp to the amp. I disconnected the positive leg of the speaker cables from the amps binding po...
Absolute Power Cords? Any opinions?
Tried one and I think I like my stock cords better - or was that the absolute that I liked better? I don't know. They look the same - they sound the same - I cannot tell the difference so to me, it was absolutely not worth the 50 bucks.
Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
Hi Dekay, The longest run I am using is about 25 feet to ambient (rear surround) speakers. The longest interconnect is about 1.5 meters. I wasted the first 1 meter pair of interconnects as they were way too short after stripping and breaking TWICE...
Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
Hi Davej - I purchased two kits & used it to wire up my home theater and my two channel system. I couldn't manage to use it all - I would be willing to sell a partial kit to you if you're interested that way you don't have to take on the entir...
Sakura Systems OTA Cable Kit
Got my OTA cable kit today - swapped out my Audio Note AN-Vz and NBS Statement for this stuff (for the time being). Right off the bat, the OTA sounds okay but something is missing - I cannot quite figure out what it is. But then again the OTA only...
Audio Aero Capitole vs. Audiomeca Mphisto II
Hi Pgleekel - The Stealth PGS is very "dull" sounding and the antithesis of dynamic - it has an organic quality and loads of inner detail which make it sound wonderful in certain systems. Cardas Golden Reference is a punchy - cable. While it can s...
Audio Aero Capitole vs. Audiomeca Mphisto II
Hi Ernie - the EMC-1 MkII is also a fantastic player and much like the Audio Aero in the sense that it sounds right. But compared to the Mephisto doesn't seduce you to listen deeper. The EMC-1 MkII is among the top players available and I must say...
Audio Aero Capitole vs. Audiomeca Mphisto II
Gregm & Pgleekel -The Mephisto is good in all types of music but I have found will sound better with certain power cords and interconnects. Currently I use Audio Note AN-Vz interconnects and a NBS Statement power cord. This combo produces the ...
Audio Aero Capitole vs. Audiomeca Mphisto II
Most top CD players will play all the notes - you will hear all there is to hear. But - it is the way the notes are played which truly separates a fine CD player from just any mass produced upsampling digital device. To some people, CD players are ...
Audio Aero Capitole vs. Audiomeca Mphisto II
Stewart is absolutely correct. The new Audio Aero Prestige CD/DVD/SACD player is silver - quite a departure from the black/gold of their other gear. It is pictured on this page - follow the link below:http://www.osbornloudspeakers.com.au/audaero/m...
Mcintosh MC-352 or FPB 200 for B&W 802
Oh come on now! Where did you get the information that B&W used the Krell FPB's to voice their speakers? Tell us, what speaker cables, interconnects, power cords, power conditioners, preamp and source components did they use??
Is McIntosh still a good choice?
Foot tapping is usually a matter of system synergy vs. a single component.
