| Bruckner 9th... Agreed Saxo, always have found Karajan to miss the boat completely. I guess the orderliness and smoothness might appeal to some, but at what expense??? Everything he did sounds the same to me. Static, lifeless. | |
| Bruckner 9th... True Otto, Knappertsbusch was also wonderful in Wagner. A modern conductor who understood bruckner especially live was klaus tennstedt. He also carried on the spirit of bruckner. | |
