Going linear - The Luxman 507ux
Erik, I assume they are only publishing the Class A output. Not sure why, they seem to do themselves a big disservice. The amp is far from low powered. I suspect if you had one to audition in your home, the 507 would be soon for sale.

Based on real world measurements, it’s over 90W/channel into 8ohms and near 160W into 4ohms. It’s 30W in Class A, then switches to A/B above that. I own the L-590AX, it’s anything but low power. http://www.navratilaudio.cz/novinky/Luxman_L590AXII_...

Any comments on the DH Labs Silver Sonic Glass Master Toslink cable?
Glad to hear it, hgeifman. I've only tried a tiny amount of gear that many here have, so I always hesitate about recommendations. That being said, I'm a fan of DH Labs, I think they put out a great product at a fair price.

I'm not jumping on board in any class wars, erik. I do think that if people want to see what any given manufacturer can do, it should be with their top of the line offering in that format, though.

Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
jason, the delay when you first power up the unit is the protection circuit. Actually, they call it something else, but it's in the manual on page 1.
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
Erik, it sounds very good immediately, and the best after 20-30 minutes, I'd say.
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
valinar, go look at the link I posted in one of the first replies of the thread. My answer is based on measured performance of the amp. I’ve always wondered why Luxman wasn’t more forthcoming, it seems like they wanted only to focus on the class A...

None for me, two.
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
I'm only clarifying what the amp actually puts out, pokey. Nor are all inefficient speakers the same.
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
590AXII is 30W Class @ 8 ohms. Has the classic Class A sound with a nice midrange bloom. Just note it runs out of steam pretty quickly so a fairly efficient speaker is a must IMHO. The L-590AX is 30W/channel Class A into 8 ohms, then switches t...
