Question about Bi-Wiring I've tried the stock Tannoy jumper wires, AP Oval 8 and NBS and can't say I hear much difference. The Tannoy are still breaking in, so time will tell....I'm definitely going to listen a biwire once they have, though. I have my eye out for some AZ ...
Question about Bi-Wiring Analysis Plus and Acoustic Zen have a variety of biwire - shotgun and straight up.
Do good power cords have to be stiff? +1 on Triode wire labs. Or, Dynamic designs - some of the iterations are stiff though....there's a digital Challenger listed that is fabulous (and flexible...).
Advice needed on power cables, wall warts, conditioning, electrical outlet Looks like it's been said - any pc's except the ones that are included will help. Bang for buck in my book goes to Essential Power the Essence and Triode Wire labs. BMI is a perennial favorite of mine - if you can find a Whale Elite, buy it. It wi...
Tannoy anyone? Cheviot Legacy vs. Stirling GR Thanks, @sandthemall, for your insight there. My initial search was for the Stirling and I got a little thrown off when some Cheviots appeared. After sitting with it for a while, my gut choice is towards the Cheviots. That said, I know I like the ...
Tannoy anyone? Cheviot Legacy vs. Stirling GR Correct height then! I haven’t had the chance to bend Kevin’s ear over this one yet, and I definitely agree that his advice is solid.
Tannoy anyone? Cheviot Legacy vs. Stirling GR Thanks, @russ69, I spoke with them last week and am looking for some real world experiences. They're pretty straightforward and helpful though and if you're lucky enough to get Kevin on the phone, pretty dam entertaining to boot.
Tannoy anyone? Cheviot Legacy vs. Stirling GR Thanks for that @yakbob - interesting quick read. Actually seemed to point me towards the Cheviot as the writer enjoyed the legacy series Arden as more expansive over the almost twice as expensive GRF! Closer to wall is helpful in my case, but not...
Simplifying my main rig and looking for cable suggestions Dynamic Designs. The battery pack powered shielding is easy, batteries last a year if left on. Titania series power cords check all the boxes you describe. The more DD you use, the more holographic it gets. Nuanced and natural sounding with detail...

Doubling a Set of Speaker Cables I use a double 8 foot run of Duelund 16g for a total of about 13ga and have been very happy with them. More extension and tonally denser/saturated within the images to my ear than the single run. Trying some other pricier cables now, but haven't f...

Synergistic Research Galileo SX Power cord. (Opinions on sound quality appreciated). @glory I picked up one of the Heritage PC's you sold off and encourage @jmcgrogan2 to do the same - we both loved them. I'm just back into audio after a 5 year set back, so that time line sounds about right. The Titania GS power cords and Heritage...
who makes your fav cable loom in 2021? At your budget, get Duelund tinned copper wire and have someone from this site or a small, independent cable co. to make up your power cords and interconnects. Speaker wire doesn't need terminations. Check out Jeff Day's blog. |
