A cartridge with more bite, please and thank you
FWIW, the Hana was actually a nice sounding match with my Thorens/SME M2-9..
A cartridge with more bite, please and thank you
I forgot about the ART9's! Thanks, @blisshifi  /  @audiosaurusrex. That seems like my wheelhouse. Looks like ther are some ART9's still to be found. I'll have to look into the difference between the XA and XI.
A Question About Time Alignment
Lots of theories abound and some even result in better sounding gear! I'll say that the Vandersteens I've owned have definitley had some special coherence that was enjoyable for me throughout the 2 and 3 series and seemed to be less dependent on e...
Cable burn in
Hahaha! It's always a good topic to bring out the sour pusses dining on sour grapes. My experience in audio has been enriched by listening and trusting my ears. My experience and ears don't match everyone's I listen, or am in contact, with and I c...
Another one (server) bites the dust! Aurender N10 vs. N200
@oddiofyl thanks for the insight, support definitely counts. money well spent indeed! @blisshifi i hear (read) you. i'm stuck a little on the oven clock, too. everything making a difference, i'm not intuitive or educated enough to know how to wei...
Another one (server) bites the dust! Aurender N10 vs. N200
Thanks, @charles1dad. Hearing is believing! @blisshifi CY it was! Well, the 200 is inviting. I've got my thinking cap on. I know CY has a lot of faith in your insights. My automatic suspicion of dealers and their products may be misfiring. I appr...
Another one (server) bites the dust! Aurender N10 vs. N200
@fuzztone @charles1dad I agree! Good clean power feeding good clean power supplies is the best place to start. I rewired for my audio system w/extensive thought out arrangements of 3 dedicated lines to separate digital from power (with one for ana...
Another one (server) bites the dust!
@deadhead1000 Thanks for that. It makes sense. RIght now, used prices have flipped the N10 a little cheaper, but pretty much a wash. I imagine either would sound great. The upgrades for quietude on the power side of the N200 are pretty attractive,...
Another one (server) bites the dust!
Thanks @deadhead1000 , I like that feature too. It’s a shame they can’t be in a raid array! So it goes. The upgrades do you look like you would provide a much more quiet background. That said, I lean into total density and warmth rather than more d...
Another one (server) bites the dust! Aurender N10 vs. N200
Thanks for that. I think we have a shared audio friend who  I bought my Modwright KWA 150SE from Which, I believe, May have been yours? I have a diagnosable audio sweet tooth and tender shy away from “more detail“ as it Can sound angular and etche...
Aurender N200
Chiming in late here, but also looking at used Aurender N200 vs. N10. I wonder is anyone can comment on how the two compare as both streamer and server/player.
Another one (server) bites the dust!
Thanks for the sales pitch! JK. I've looked at 432EVO and the Aurenders are more in line with my needs and desires having spdif output and more or adjustable storage. I'm looking for insights regarding their N10 vs N200. If you've heard the two of...
Wanting to simplify my system ......
Ok, Boulder 866 or BAT (tube or hybrid) - BAT and Wilson are a nice combo. The phono card is surprisingly good, but not up to the Phono 6....simpler though and enjoyable. I have a friend (in Boulder oddly enough!) with that combo and a VPI Aries 3...

My last Integrated Amp: $5-10,000?
Yeah, depends on speakers. I love Plinius amps with Dynaudio (Esp Confidence series) and it sounds vwery good with Tannoy, but thick and dark with Daedalus. For integrated though, only the amp side of Plinius gets my love, the preamp side not so m...
