Cayin 265ai
Don't know about using it with the Usher's. But buying it is a no brainer. I too have a 100, and other Cayin/VAS products. Never been disappointed. Go for it.

Better when it rains?
It really is about the humidity in the air surrounding the equipment. Best is to always have it at about 45%, anything below or above that is not optimal for listening and conditioning your equipment environment.
CD Player Recommendations for Dynaudio speakers
Easy choice, an OPPo 105.
Question about shipping damage
UPS at one point had a policy on vintage electronics that unless the makers packing materials and boxes were used, no insurance money would be paid. I think that policy is still ineffective regardless of whether the UPS store paced the item.
Should I trust movers with my equipment?
Only if you purchase a special insurance rider from the moving company to cover those items, which must be scheduled into the rider. Very expensive, but it puts the moving company on notice that you are serious. I recently got an estimate for such...

To port or not to port
Depends, and yes it is complicated. Illustration, ProAc had one of their models, I forget exactly which one, that ported in the front. Ideal if you want to place them on a shelf. I have ProAc 140's, which are ported on the bottom. When I first got...
How are music downloads 'upsampled'?
Can't have what is not there. That is why the hi res stuff is always better. Apple I understand is working on a iTunes hi res service.
Best sounding and reliable CD changer?
I run three Sony 355 units, each with 300 discs. They are chained together. All have optical output. All were purchased as refub's directly from Sony. Running them for almost four years now and no problems. I also have a Sony 595, five disc unit, ...
Can a tiny silver bowl affect music reproduction
Any and all the objects and their placement in a room will effect the sound the room producers for your unique ears. There is no way to predict how any object will react, including silver bowls. Best way to find out is to have them in your room an...
Basement flood damaged y gear
Insurance companies will always treat you poorly. The only exception is life insurance, dead is dead. If you have high end equipment it is always best to schedule those items in a separate rider, replacement cost, to the main policy and have the s...
