Recommended cheaper vintage SS Integrated Amps? Many great choices out there including Sansui as mentioned. I feel of all my SS restored vintage integrated amps (20 or so) the Kenwood 7100 is the peach without breaking the bank.As long as a pre/pwr loop is not needed, it seems to make the best ...
Help with turntable setup? I could understand a VTF (tracking force) discrepancy if your Concept Wood has the Concept/Verify magnetic tonearm as they are far from being dynamically stable. The other non-magnetic versions are much more stable.
SOTA NOVA, HR-X VPI, Technics 1200G recommendations? Lots of great info & history here 👍FWIW, the TK850M would not fit the Technics 1200 but no doubt the 9” TK850S would as long as you could find one. Conical/spherical styli not recommended for shorter tonearms. As noted (& IMO), the Technic...

Anyone familiar with Canare 4s11 speaker wire sound and break in time Anyone run 2, 4s11 or a pair of them, (total 8 conductors)in shot gun form. If so I could order another set tomorrow. If 2 is better than one why not it’s only another $20 and can break them in together and be done with it.I was at a friend’s plac...
New turntable: please help with cartridge selection: Ortofon vs Lyra vs Charisma vs Hana If you like the Benz Z’s sound, but with more frequency extension, I’d suggest sticking with Benz and trying the Gullwing SLR. A fantastic cart, with the fullness, "warmth" and sweetness of Benz, but with ample treble extension. The Benz LPS is li...
Do you care about car audio? Lost interest after CDs took over.Concord & Nakamichi head units made it work for me - started with a Concord HPL 110 & called it quits after a Nakamich TD700.

Top 5 recievers of the 70's and 80's ???? Nakamichi: SR3a👍 although I prefer silver faceplatesRadio Shack’s Realistic STA-2100 should also be a serious contender

Top 5 recievers of the 70's and 80's ???? Fun topic for sure 👍I’m more of an Integrated collector but do enjoy a Marantz 2330 (restored by Many Moons Audio) that should qualify. Beautiful looking single year (1st gen - 1979) production that, I believe, all featured engraved faceplates. Lo...
