You might want to check out the Rega Isis. 5 years in development from a company that made its name in analog. Most audiophiles won't consider the Isis because of their reputation of budget value oriented gear. If you are looking to impress your a...
Review: Intuitive Design/Pitcher Sound Labs Summit PSL 624 Speaker
The Neodio is a 100 watt Class AB, but the designer implemented a very clever circuit which sounds like the best class A ss available. You are right solid state can be done right but it is very rare. I have heard some of the top upper end ss like ...

Andrew,As good as the 300b sounded I knew the Gammas needed more power so my hunt was on. My search lead me to a french company and believe or not I bought a solid state integrated. Being a hardcore tube man I can't believe a solid state amp could...

Zszwedo,It sounds like the Isis & Osiris is a great combination. As always system matching is critical.

Morgenholz,I enjoyed reading your response. I also did own a Tandberg receiver back on the 80's and it was real nice. Progress is nice but sometimes I crave for simplier times like the 70's.

Inna & Artis4n,That is the type of advise I am now looking for. Both of you are recommending spending most of my budget on a tt/arm combo & phone preamp. Buying used is certainly an option I will strongly look at. I could also increase my ...

I have gotten some great replys. I have decided to jump back into vinyl. I will start out slow and if I enjoy the music and experience of using a TT I can upgrade later. Realizing that the vinyl system will be only as good as the weakest link with...

Al,That is certainly a possibility.

Elizabeth,I thank you for your remarks. I actually do enjoy the sound of my system but if my faint memory remembers correctly I just remember enjoying the music instead of worrying about the equipment that I currently have. Was that because back i...

Thanks for the replies. I do have at least 200 records that I saved from the 70's & 80's so I have plenty of vinyl already. Yes Elizabeth living was great when we were young and carefree. Maybe this is why vintage equipment is starting to beco...
Has anyone heard Rega's Isis CDP?
I think that Elinor's response was very interesting. Yes it is impossible to tell what each piece is contributing to a system when you hear it at a show but it certainly sounds like the Rega Isis helprd produce beautiful music in a nice system.
