Good Bookshelf Speakers for a Hearing Loss?
I wonder if you might get some satisfying results with room treatment that would make your listening experience more enjoyable. You might be able to tame the highs in your room at certain reflection points. Most people do this I believe for better...
How are Proac 1 SC's at low volume levels?
Use acoustic room treatment if you want to hear more at low SPLs. Speaker selection is key of course, but if your room is tweaked acoustically it will really help with low level listening IMO.

There is a website with the specs.http://www.moerch.dk/
Very Small 2.0 Amp for Totem Dreamcatcher
The audioengines are supposed to be very good. Discrete and minimal too. I'm going to get a pair of the 2's very soon. I was going to use passive speakers and a Sonic Impact amp (which is an amp suggestion for you) but decided on the audioengine 2...
Zu Essence vs Devore Nine vs Maggies
I don't know of any resources that discuss what speakers work in what room situations. I believe there are some general rules of thumb that have been discussed in a lot of different threads. There are guidelines where a certain speaker design is b...
Turntable wall shelf
The Target Rack is OK. I have the two shelf version which I just bought a month ago. I believe they are now made in Asia and are not the same as they were before (like gauge of steel is thinner now). For the money, it should do the job. I'm sure t...
Zu Essence vs Devore Nine vs Maggies
If you can only come out 36", I don't believe Maggies will work as well as they should or can. They need more room. It would be such a waste. My planars are 5 and a half feet out in to the room and sound like crap any closer. Your dimensions are s...
Phono Preamp suggestions?
You should be able to get either a SUT like one from K&K or a head amp like the Piccolo from Hag Tech and use the onboard phono in the integrated amp. I'd talk to both of the vendors about your amp, cart and how their products could solve your...
Zu Essence vs Devore Nine vs Maggies
If you like the Maggie 1.6 you should consider the Eminent Tech LFT-8s. They are planars too, but with a well integrated bass driver. And I've heard that bass is much better than the 1.6s. And still well integrated with the planar drivers. I've co...
SS integrated amp to drive Wilson audio sophia/WP7
As alreaday mentioned, LSA Group integrated amps are very nice and I expect in the tier of integrated amps you would be looking at. But there are many others to consider. It would be nice if you can get a reference from Wilson of an integrated tha...
Need cartridge recommendations for Rega P25
I wouldn't do a MM if you can't adjust capacitance loading. A HO MC like a Dyna 10 or 20 sounds great on a Rega arm and if you like the Dyan sound (which I love) maybe the 10X would be worth a go. It won't be much of a departure in house sound for...
Moerch DP-6 fit into the Nottingham Spacedeck?
I believe you would need to change the setup, but phone the US distributor, Audiophile Systems and confirm what you need exactly. It could be you just need a new collet. I suggest you check out the Audio Origami PU7 arm too which can be custom mad...
With $20,000 in your hand, what speaker would you
I thought the guy was trolling from the start of this thread. You could just smell the troll under the bridge from a long ways off.
Most musical integrated amp you have heard?
LSA Signature. Clearing the the worlds best integrated amp.
Is There any Truly "High End" Integrated Amp?
Not sure if anyone has mentioned the LSA integrated amps in this thread or not. MDW of Bound For Sound gave the Signature version an unofficial component of the year award a couple of years back. MDW has listened to a lot of integrated amps and of...
