DeVore O/93 or PureAudioProject Duet15 for a First Watt SIT-3?
No matter how efficient the speaker, there will will always be the struggle between high power authority and being king of your domain, versus low power beauty and finesse. Go with the 96 (end game) versus 93 (more affordable) if you can. Try high...
Full range stand mounted speakers
If you want a sub with tweeters in it try the Gershman Studio 2 the bass is unlike any other monitor I've owned but the mids are needing be fleshed out more. Now I only had a 150 wpc Coda hooked up to them and this thing barely drove them (as good...
McIntosh purchased by Bose...NOT an April Fool's joke.
No mids on your rack must be a Mc. This is a match made in heaven. I thought Clarion owned McIntosh in the 90 and so did a handful of other companies after. In the 80’s I owned the Bose 401, they were corner placed and probably better than the w...
DeVore O/93 or PureAudioProject Duet15 for a First Watt SIT-3?
I've owned the O/93 and heard the O/96 on many occasions. I agree with fsonicsmith get the 96 if you can. I've heard the same things, one being that the woofer is substantially better designed and compromises had to be made for the 93. Hard to get...

???What's The LEAST Expensive "End Game"Amplifier You've Ever Heard???
Supernait3 is an amazing sounding amp
Hegel H120 or H190
Agree with Grisly, the CM1 is a good speaker but rather disproportionate to what you are spending on the amp. If the speakers are staying for the 2 years but the lower priced amp and upgrade it all when the time comes.
When I listen to my system.......
For decades I listened to gear, but with my latest spring tweak suspending the back right side of the transformer, and a polished thimble sized bowl ever so succinctly harmonizing that first point of reflection...it's now music to my ears. lol

Maybe I've just drifted off but this is most boring 2-3 years this site has ever seen. Maybe I' prefer a little entertainment. The spending part comes without sense.
Integrated amp for 2500-3000
I have a Supernait 3 driving a pair of Harbeth's and love this amp. I've owned Luxman, McIntosh, Coda, Sugden, and many other SS amps and the Supernait is nicely done. Never heard the Hegel but seems solid too but wasn't sure about all the digital...
Differences between Harbeth, Spendor, Graham, etc. ?
@stuartk Just wanted to speak more clearly that these transport me to that live in the room sound with magic between the speakers. I've owned many speakers that demonstrate this but saw less and less play over time. Somehow the 7XD is far from fat...
Differences between Harbeth, Spendor, Graham, etc. ?
@stuartk I'm very sensitive to brightness too, some speakers even making my ears ring after listening. The C7 brings me very close to that liveliness and detail without crossing over the edge. Something here is nicely done. If you want deep bass w...
Do Harbeth speakers really need a 4000 damping factor?
I have the 7XD with a Leben 300XS and a Supernait 3. They both present wildly different characteristics. The Leben is a holdover from a different speaker and it sounds beautiful at low volumes but doesn't present a soundstage or have bass anything...
JA Pulsars vs Harbeth 30.2
@pdreher Yes I picked up a pair of C7esxp's and really enjoy them. Now my room did change and as a result I'm positioning these (moving them) when I really want to sit and listen. That said they're really enjoyable and there is real magic happenin...
HiFi satisfaction and/ or Musical enjoyment
In my experience there is a fine line between getting that "you are there" sound and crossing into fatigue and brightness. I've also learned for myself that the source is tremendous importance. Enjoyment of music is my goal and it's taking less s...
