Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? I have the Forte on a second system with a Leben 300xs and enjoy the combination. They're not lifelong speakers but like everything else I've ever owned, will add to my enjoyment of hearing new things. The Cornwalls had a bit more effortlessness a...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? I've never been entirely satisfied with the construction of Klipsch speakers, despite owning one currently and in the past. However, it's important to acknowledge that most speakers, regardless of their price (mine go up to $20k), have identifiabl...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? @mrdecibel Done. It's probably a vintage sticker lol.
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? If I could post a photo, there is a label on the back of the Forte IV that says the cabinets are made by craftsman in Hope Arkansas.
A Better Way to Buy Gear - Help Needed Tell the seller to go pound sand. His customer service sucks.
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range? Proac and Verity come to mind as having less fatigue while still challenging the limits with detail. Be careful, if you get something to laid back you can get bored easily, at least I have a few times.
The Horror I suggest going a bit nuts at first with lots of pillow stacked up corners, blankets all over the floor, etc. Move the speakers as much as you can etc. You want to really start to hear differences in sound and build off of that. Move so much that...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? I found the CW4 to be a little darker than the Forte 4. Lived with both. The CW4 plays a bit bigger and is more dynamic. The Forte seems a little more detailed and lifelike. I've not heard the Volti. Probably a little better in all regards esp...
Do NOS Mullard EL34 tubes last much longer than NOS SED (Svetlana) EL34 ? I have NOS Mullard el84’s that I use in a Leben 300xs. They are special tubes. I would seek them out again along with some other NOS tubes. I I’ve owned many amps over the years, even some of Kevin’s amps, and can say they make a difference to me...
12 wire compared to Nordost Blue Heaven Speaker Cable? With Ali express you can built a $30,000 system for $300. Only think is most of their products are counterfeit. You may or may not be able to tell the difference.
Help me understand the current amp market There are lots of different types of amps and budgets. You might want to narrow your question a little. What are your speakers? Do you like class a, tubes, digital. You will find people in all different camps.
Comparing Rythmik F12 and F12G: Which is Better for Music and Movies? @Soix this was around 8 years ago. I ran them together for years and occasionally would turn one off and run the other. Hard to say but I feel the 12G had more foundation, a greater stability, maybe went a little deeper but probably not. I know ...
Comparing Rythmik F12 and F12G: Which is Better for Music and Movies? I can vouch for the F12G and Rythmik. I purchased one along with the SVS3000. I kept them both for years before moving on. I'd say out of the 2 the F12G was better and more adjustable. The nice thing about the SVS however is they have an app that ...
Audioquest or Nordost for speaker cable I had a full Frey 2 Nordost loom years ago with the QX4, QB8, the whole nine yards. This was with Leben electronics and Devore speakers. I loved this setup and always thought if one was to get into Nordost the Frey was the sweet spot. Over time ...
Focal v Wilson @edelbby, you have some really great classic and desirable gear, no doubt. IMO you are out pacing your gear at a similar pace by looking at a once classic "high end" speaker. I've spent lots of time with the WP8, and it was much better than the ... |
