Need quality flexible power cord for CD player....
I second the VH Audio Flavor 1 power cord... I also tried the Audience cord, but found it not to my liking on my Resolution Audio Opus 21 player. I ran a Flavor 1 Rhodium with great results! It is within your budget (especially used), is flexible ...
More on the VR4seIII
If you want dynamics, lots of detail and serious DEEP bass energy, try them with a Spectron Musician II... It was a fantastic match for me, but I ended up being seduced by the harmonic rightness and 3-d imaging that my VAC Phi amp provided me on t...
What's The Best Blooming Tube Amp?
The new VAC Phi 30/30 with it glorious, powerful, and detailed 300B sound will certainly give you midrange bloom and richness that is to die for. Drives most speakers to sane listening levels without breaking a sweat too!
Power Cord for Resolution Audio Opus 21
I have had good luck with the Flavor 1 cord by Chris Ven Haus with the rhodium ends... I found it to be very uncolored in the midrange, with fast, tight bass and great extension to the upper highs. I bettered many $400- $800 cords I tried on my Op...
Vac Standard 220 standard, signature, or Phi
I have been running the new Phi 30/30 with my Von Schweikert VR4IIHSE's for just over a year now, and have found it to be an outstanding performer. It is very dynamic, extremely quiet, detailed, and most of allseductively musical. This is the 4th ...
Q,s about Carver tfm 15 cb Amp vs. Carver m 400
If the m400 is not a "t" series, the tfm 15 will sound a lot smoother and more pleasant.
BPT 3.5 Signature and aftermarket ac cords:
Well, the EPS-3 has returned from re-termination, and it has broken in for just over a week now... It certainly sounds a lot different than the stock cord for the BPT 3.5 Sig. It does provide a more open and up front presentation, as well as more ...
BPT 3.5 Signature and aftermarket ac cords:
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I have also received some other e-mails directly from members who were very satisfied with the Elrod EPS3 in place of the stock L9 cord on their 3.5 Signatures. I will be sending mine off this week for re-t...
Corroded tube pins - need help
The best thing to remove corrosion I've found is actually vinegar. Wet a Q-tip with some and give it a try. Be sure to clean again after with alcohol...works GREAT!
Dynaudio Audience 42 ot Triangle Titus with Rotel
I would agree with Chris and his post above. The Titus sounds it's best when driven with tubes, especially SET's in the 10-20 w.p.c class. It will surprise you with it'sspeed, clarity, and detail, but can get edgy with a lot solid state gear.
BPT 3.5 Ultra v. Hydra c
Due to the fact that your monoblocks draw 1,200 watts max. each, it may be pushing the envelope a bit with the 2,500 watt transformer on the BPT 3.5 Ultra. I would consult with Chris at BPT on the issue first. Those are some fairly high current am...
Spectron Musician Reliability Issues....
The Musician II I had was a fine amp to say the least, both sonically and functionally. It sounded even better running out of my Hydra as a conditioner.
Coincident Total Eclipse vs. Von Schweikert VR 4
I have owned both the VR4HSE and the Total Eclipse, and can tell you that the VR4HSE sounds fantastic with my new VAC Phi 30/30, and I get plenty of strong, deep and tight bass with this amazing 32 W.P.C. amp. I have a feeling that something was n...
Placement of Magnepan 1.6's or 3.6's
Hi Tony! From my experience with Maggies, they will usually sound best against the longer wall, but the 11 foot depth of the room is just as big a problem, especially with the piano you have. Having them on the short wall is not the best setup eit...
VAC 70/70 III Owners......6SN7, 300B Recomm.
I have owned 3 VAC 30/30's over the years, and have just upgraded again to the newest VAC Phi 30/30 which I am extremely happy with. I have stuck with the original 300B's for outputs, but have done much rolling with the 6sn7's in different positio...
