replacing tonearm question?
@noromance If what you say is true, then the manufacturers could use stone bearing balls carved by Fred Flinstones himself if friction isn't important. The friction heavily affects the suspension of the head, the cantilever, the tracking, going to ...
replacing tonearm question?
@simao the photo is of a standard lifter that I have restored (it is not a Sumiko or Jelco that is exactly the same) but they are practically all the same and simple to disassemble.

Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously?
Hi all, great combination.I took my TT-101 back in hand two months ago, after the technician failed a couple of years ago.First of all, I eliminated all the wire wrap connections by switching to a practical plug-in plug-in system in order to have ...
Cartridge misadventures
In cueing up the record I snagged the sleeve of my robe on the cartridge cantilever and ruined it. The robe for meditations zen are extremely dangerous.Better dressed as a mechanic where the sleeves have an elastic.
