There's No Question
I feel like I also have to admit that these speakers are actually kind of ugly. I did a lot of my growing up in the 80s, and latched onto the big speaker is cool thing early on. So yeah, there's that. I'm not sure you can get a beautiful looking T...
There's No Question
For those who are curious, the DIs have zero problem pressurizing a room. They can do bass like no other tower speaker I have heard. Room and source dependent, but they can really slam. I love tubes. I'm running a Manley Chinook through an Ayon Sc...
There's No Question
The Tektons are entirely room and ear dependent as far how to position them. I have noticed a lot of people like them closer together. I really don't like the way they sound when they are closer, somewhere around 3-4 feet. The soundstage does some...

Looking for advise with selecting next integrated amp
I have a friend who spent 15k on his McIntosh integratedand loves it, or thinks he does. I absolutely love my Ayon tube integrated, although if you are wanting digital that isn't the way to go. Digital sucks, IMHO. Analog has it beat by a long way...
Charisma Audio Cartridges
Thanks for the input, guys. I'm very interested in this cart. Anyone know how much a retip will set you back?
diffuser or absorption panels, which would you choose?
I use both absorbtion and diffusion. Agree with those who stated it was best to place diffusers behind speakers. I have combined quadratic diffusers, large bass traps and have absorbing panels at first reflection points. That's the front half of m...
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same?
I debated for a while about separates v. integrated. IMO, we spend too much time talking about how it looks, and not enough about sound. I ended up with an Ayon integrated that is amazing, but had to remove a shelf to place on the rack. I am not a...
No love for Legacy Audio
I have a friend with Legacy Signature SE. They really fill his room with rich, airy sound. Those were the speakers that reignited my interest in the hobby six years ago. They still sound great. I love my Tektons, but still enjoy his awesome system...
