Why Lots of Current Music Sounds Miserable...
Entrope which of these recordings you refer to have you heard in your system?
Why Lots of Current Music Sounds Miserable...
Yes but what "crap" are we talking about?
Why Lots of Current Music Sounds Miserable...
I usually find three things about threads about the recording quality of modern releases.1.The person making them doesn't buy very much new music.2.Examples of compression (and yes of course it happens)are thin on the ground.3.Examples are given o...
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc?
Whilst the Sprinsteen disc has a seperate DVD here in the UK,HI-FI Choice magazine last month gave away a Dualdisc and my Ayre CX-7 just doesn't read it at all.Not good.
Another sign SACD is dying
I think the strangest thing in this debate that most of us are actually not that far apart on the fundamental issues. My belief is that those who have gotten most out of SACD are those who've been lucky enough to have serious money to spend on a pl...

Rooze you miss the main point, the vast vast majority of music (guessing 99%)is not available on SACD therefore it doesn't matter what happens in the studio. Also a fair bit of SACD releases as you rightly point out were met with perhaps unreasonabl...

Nrchy this is an argument that has went on since SACD was comparitively new.Myself and Rsbeck crossed swords many times on it but I do respect his stance on it even if I believe he's been wrong about some of his predictions sadly I'm going to repe...
Pink Floyd reunion
Theo what efforts are these Gilmour made?-this is a statement without substance sure DG can seem like a much more polite individual than Waters in interviews but to the best of my recollection he has never did anything to negotiate Waters back int...

Pink Floyd reunion
I think it's worth repeating at a stretch they might get 30 mins and 20 mins is more likely at this show so a DVD?Barrett was Floyd at the start but I see Gilmour/Waters Floyd as basically a different band.
Anybody heard Ry Cooder's new one yet?
I heard a single track and wasn't duly impressed-not sure if it is indicative of the album but a very lightweight track almost like a poppier Buena Vista track.
Pink Floyd reunion
He is a fantastic songwriter, no doubt.
