Vandersteen 2Wq crossover
Thanks. I was able to find a dealer in NJ. I found out from George Kaye that the input impedance was much higher than I thought, 270K. Vandersteen doesn't make a crossover for that exact number, but sent one set at 200K. The explanation is that es...
Vandersteen 2Wq crossover
Thanks so much for the advice. I'll try Sound by Singer in my area for the crossover.

Funny. I'm sitting in Denver right now at the rather outdated and mediocre Loews Hotel. Anyway, I hope some more audio enthusiasts will surface, otherwise we'll have a pretty small club, but that's OK too. Thanks,Brian

Chiming in from Newport (well on weekends anyway and where my system resides). Would like to get involved too. I know there are some audiophiles in Newport, so hopefully they'll chime in too. Thanks,Brian

Upgrade to Luxman PD-441 turntable
I'm a bit suspect of the tonearm as some tech had changed out one of the pivot points that supports the arm to the tonearm base (it's different from the original) and the arm lifter seems to be shot once again. But your point is that going with a ...
Getting HD cable signal to Infocus X-1 projector
The projector has a lamp usage tracker. You'll see it in the menu. I'm just wondering if the color wheel or something else will crap out right after I get a new bulb.Do you think there are bulb upgrades that would improve the picture?
Getting HD cable signal to Infocus X-1 projector
I've connected the VESA to component adaptor and there is a slight improvement over the S-Video connection, although not real drastic. Here's another question; I'm up to about 3,300 hours on the original bulb. Should I get another one for $300, or...

Thiel 3.6's vs. Vandersteen 3 sigs
Thanks for all of the great perspectives. I definitely agree with some of your experiences (even the old Thiels seemed to thrive with more power; would go deeper. Also, they were always a bit too bright for me. CD's could get annoying although vin...
Any Muddy Water acoustics CDs out there?
I'm with the others on Folk Singer. Try to find the Original Master Recording version-it's awesome. Buddy Guy plays acoustic guitar throughout. Willie Dixon on Bass (I think).
Speaker placement/balance
Thanks to all for the advice/comments. The problem was really the following: The Rogue 66 pre-amp inverts, so I should have compensated for that by switching the speaker cables at the speaker (red and black to the oppposite). I neglected to pay at...
Moscode 600 amp
Thanks for the advice. The switching of the speaker cables at the speakers to compensate for the pre-amp inversion worked wonderfully. All of a sudden I have a bunch of sound in between the speakers.
