Infocus X1 projector to Outlaw Audio 975 Still no luck. I am getting audio to work now, but no video. I adjusted the Outlaw to 1080i from 1080p. Even tried dumping down to 720 and 480p. Nothing. I also tried switching to Native. The source I'm using is a DVD player via HDMI connection. P...
Infocus X1 projector to Outlaw Audio 975 Thanks for all of the responses. I went out and got a TV with HDMI inputs so I could access the Outlaw on screen display (apparently, this is the only way to do this is via HDMI). So, I adjusted the TV and Video sources from HDMI to component in t...

Integra DPS 6.7 DVD and SACD player direct to 5.1 I decided to go get a nearly new Outlaw Audio 975 surround processor. It was time to upgrade from my Marantz AV550 from before the year 2000.

Surface noise Thanks again for all of the advice. The increase in VTF certainly provided the improvement I was looking for. I'm just going to back off of the 2g setting and see if I have the same luck at 1.7g. I am also replacing the stylus, as it is probably t...
Surface noise Any suggestions on what resistor I should try as far as make/model and where I can get one? Thanks again,Brian
Surface noise Problem solved !!!!! Thanks to everyone for the advice. All I did was bump the VTF to 2 grams from 1.5. No more "noise" in between tracks. Should I start to tweak it down a bit until I hear the noise again?Brian
Surface noise Loading the cartridge? Now you've lost me.
Surface noise Not really a whooshing sound. I've also changed the phono section tubes around with no difference (Rogue Audio 66 Magnum pre-amp). Your comment about the bearing noise sounds interesting. The tonearm does seem to deliver a decent amount of noise t...
Surface noise Well, it's at least 4 or 5 years old. I wish I could take a stab at how many hours, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be close. Maybe 1,000 hours tops? I do have another older Grado to try and I will this weekend when I get home. Just to describe the soun...
Surface noise All. Just between songs, not during the song.
Surface noise I used that device that was included in the Hi-Fi news set up record. That was to double check what I had originally used, which was some download that I printed out several years ago. Wonder if my stylus is wearing down. Would that make for more ...
Surface noise Yes, I clean with Record Doctor vacuum and fluid every time. Noise is there even on brand new 180 gram vinyl. I just checked set up with Hi Fi News set up record and everything seems fine except that track which they explain is pretty severe. On t...
Placement of components in audio rack So, you run a long IC from your amp to your pre-amp. Is that OK? I don't have any IC's more than 1m, so I'd have to go out and buy some long stuff. |
