Crackle and hiss on some albums
Noisy new albums is mainly a result of poor quality vinyl material used in pressing. Japan used to be recognized as one using some of the purest vinyl quality, dead silent. Nowadays it's a crapshoot at best. Even so I have an excellent analog syst...
OCD mickey website and negativity.
I don't know Mickey. Whatever he is doing seems to be working. He is getting some free advertising here.
AR-XB. Is it worth a new motor?
The XB retailed for $130 in 1972.
AR-XB. Is it worth a new motor?
This has the similarity of having a boat. A hole in the water you throw money at. Even though I know nothing about this TT,  my advice is to move on and be glad all you threw at it is 200 bucks.
A quick question on what streamers to consider.......
Whatever the posters use will often be the recommendation. A better way to get a neutral point of view is to read as many reviews and feedbacks on the streamers that meet your requirements.  But as previously noted, every streamer will need update...

Measurements for a dedicated line
Dedicated power feed to house of stereo here with plug-in volt meter always displaying voltage. Always reading between 121 and 124 volts in dead of Summer or dead of winter. Not sure about the electrical specific points raised by Eric but a dedica...
Finally...subwoofer that's aesthetically pleasing!
I would contradict p05929 above post, the type of people who would buy these are most likely the ones who do not have a dedicated audio room. Therefore looks are everything to them and their spouse.

Seeking opinions about phono specific interconnects
@mwh777  Try the bluejeans phono cables. Excellent and inexpensive. No brainer to see if it will make a positive difference for you.
