Digital Coax, optical, or RCA for use with my Bluesound Node player?
That would be a Cambridge CXV.
Digital Coax, optical, or RCA for use with my Bluesound Node player?
I just received a Cambridge Audio CVC v2 due to my ARC CD player, used as a transport, crapped out (yes I tried to have it fixed to no avail). So, I'm interested in a new RCA-RCA digital cable to connect to a Bryston BDA-3.14.  Seems I'm hearing (n...
Emotional rollercoaster
@millercarbon " Money is just the very crude indicator we use as a substitute for performance. Its a crutch. Its not really the cost that matters, its the performance. As long as everything performs at about the same level then your odds of findi...
Who Here is Vertical Bi-Amping?
mkgus - I have been horizontal tri-amping for years using 4 ARC amps. Two stereo amps running in mono, one for each woofer, a stereo amp for the mids and stereo amp for the highs.  I took out the cross-overs from the speakers and use an active cros...
is this the greatest live band of all time?
@ dweller Agree 100% when talking about Floyd, saw both DSOM and Wall and both were excellent, sonics were phenomenal.  The only concert sound I've heard that I thought was better was Sting.  Captured very well on the "Bring on the Night" CD.  I...

is this the greatest live band of all time?
What a "loaded" question! So subjective. Best recorded live show - Allman Brothers @ Fillmore East.At the show: Grateful Dead when touring with that insane equipment known as the Wall of Sound. Look it up, mostly McIntosh amps.Sting at The Bottom L...
Putting weights on speakers?
Speaking of cabinet resonances and vibrations. I have never put weights on any of my audio equipment.  Reading many years ago that if you can balance a nickel on edge on top of your speakers and play at very loud volumes and not have the nickel mo...
good discussion on power cords
An interesting take by Andrew Singer.  Not an up/down discussion, but how to sanely go about buying cables, at least at the outset of equipment purchases. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G_mhAbSs8M

Should people who can't solder, build or test their speakers be considered audiophiles?
Recognizing the sarcastic, sophomoric and trolling nature of your post still doesn't excuse it.You don't know if that will be the first post a new A'goner may read.

Indian Larry was a bike builder in Brooklyn who happened to like to stand on the seat of his bike.  He did it one time too many.I still ride with a few buddies, almost never alone, a pack of Harley's at least announces their presence. I'm done wit...
Will this amp trick work for increasing bass performance?
BTW the link above is only one of many that they custom make.
Will this amp trick work for increasing bass performance?
I have to agree with millercarbon on this one, that is that a DBA would be the way to go.That's a really large room for two 11" woofers!I see that the rear of the speakers has speakers terminals labeled "Bass Input". Does that mean you can bypass ...
Can I bi-amp my speakers with two different amps?
Of course this is very obvious, but be sure to remove the "shorting straps" prior to bi-amping or bi-wiring for that matter.
