@noromance I totally agree. I'm simply saying that if you start at a higher temp, the amp will reach thermal stasis quicker, which was the question posed by the OP.@b_limo Agree also, starting an ice-cold engine is the worst thing you can do to it...

If you really believe its a heat issue go out and buy an indoor/outdoorthermometer with the little wire outdoor probe.  Rest that probe on the ventilation holes with the amps at idle for 24 hours.  Take reading.Put on some music that you are sure ...

I'm just slightly confused!  Can someone explain to me which order one would change (upgrade) fuses for max benefit?  A/C input surge fuse,DC power supply fuses, speaker fuses?  Of course testing after eachchange.  I can't imagine the AC power lin...

I attended all three days of RMAF, the venue is beautiful, as in very well appointed. I did notstay at the hotel so I can't comment on pricing. I had no trouble eating lunch at the MountainPass sports bar on premises, but I tend to eat early.    H...

Yes I did sell all of my vinyl, except for about 4 or 5 that are DBX encoded. Remember that?  They sounded great.  The impetus for the sale was an all Audio Research front end and amps.  The source may very well change to a Bryston Digital Player ...

I find it very interesting that mastering studios nearly always have amps between the speakers for the short cabling.  But, the mastering engineer is sitting at a big bulky console smack in the middle of the whole shebang. Not to be confused with ...
