Cables, Cables Moganes, did you connect the speaker cables to the top terminals? Or whatever the mid-high terminals are on your speakers, that's where the speaker cables should be connected to. In case you hooked up the speaker cables to a woofer terminal, your ...
Cables, Cables Very constructive response, Pabelson...without even asking Moganes what his system consists of you already had an answer.
Pioneer CD & DVD as Transports The only CD-Rs my S7700 had problems with reading were the blank faced Phoenix CD-Rs I recorded 8 years ago on my Philips CD recorder. The rest of them read fine. I liked the Mitsui music CD-Rs the most for their sound qualities.
Pioneer CD & DVD as Transports I don't know about Pioneer but I'd consider a Sony S7700. Really good as transport. Solid built.
Is there a difference in balanced cables?? I just compared 2 different XLR interconnects in my system - Acoustic Zen Silver Ref MkII and Audience AU24. They sound very different.
Newbie balanced cable help Tripper, I just got Silver Ref MkII in XLR and these are a huge improvement over AU24 XLRs. I was shocked. Thanks for the offer to let me try the BJCs in my system, but right now my amp is single ended. I will most likely be getting it upgraded so...
Acoustic Zen Hologram biwire MKII Did you tell him it was 3-way speaker? Did you tell him it was Revel? Well, whatever Lee says, that's it I guess. He knows what he's talking about...he designed these cables after all. But for me he recommended Satori Shotgun when I said it was fo...
arcam cd73 at end of life span? A used Bel Canto DAC2 will run you what the new CD73 costs, but will beat it by a nice margin. Even connected to your DVD player. This is a better approach IMO. Smoother, richer sound with less of digital grain.
Acoustic Zen Hologram biwire MKII Satori Shotgun is for 3 way speakers. Hologram is for 2 way speakers. What speakers are the cables for?
Bad Experience with B&W's: Anyone else? 1. They needed break in. Playing time about 500 hours. 2. B&W speakers will benefit from more power.3. Use only bi-wire speaker cables. In a worst case scenario, if using single run, connect them to the upper binding posts, not the lower ones....
Suggestions for fully shielded power cord... Clio, I had a feeling this would be a modded unit, but this is interesting. Should be nice.
Suggestions for fully shielded power cord... Clio, I agree. Audience is one of the most versatile cords. I also had great results with it on the amp, pre-amp and digital. Just didn't compared it directly to Purist yet. Wonder what that'll show on my CDP. I borrowed few cords from cable compa...
Suggestions for fully shielded power cord... Clio, I am trying this very same power cord on my cd player right now. My first impressions are that this cord is pretty neutral sounding, although I haven't run an "A/B" against my Audience PowerChord yet.
Nordost Thor &State of the ART: Power conditioners That's great. I was planning on trying these Oyaide outlets as well. As far as PLCs go, I really like Shunyata Hydra2. It's got only 2 outlets in the back and you can separate digital and analog this way. These things definitely work. And they are...
interconnects ? AZ Matrix Ref MkII(well balanced for brighter systems) or Silver Ref MkII(for greater resolution), AZ Satori Shotgun speaker cable. You have to try in your system though. But I think with Krell, the Matrix Ref MkII may be a better match. |
