What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? The issue is not that my system doesn't sound good, but that it sounds better with one server than with the other and I am curious why that is. @mitch2 why is that an issue? I’m also not sure why it is so surprising to hear the difference betwe...
What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? @curiousjim it’s an interesting question. I wouldn’t say it changes the sound on all servers. I just don’t know if it does. I owned Lumin U1 Mini and Auralic Aries G1. I will say though, that on Auralic, I preferred the sound quality of its nati...
What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? @vandy357 that’s about how long the Aurender needs to break in. My N200 settled after couple of weeks.
New streamer @mclinnguy it will most likely continue to improve and I won’t be surprised if it throws another fit for a day or so. It’s crazy isn’t it how it fluctuates.
What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? @mitch2 the two streamers you’re comparing are approximately on the same level. That is definitely one of the driving factors in the differences you’re hearing. There may be a difference between how one stream renders tone and presentation vs the ...
New streamer @mclinnguy buckle up and get your puke bags out. It’s a rollercoaster ride for sure. At 230hrs it’s not cooked yet. Figure about 400hrs to settle.

What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? @benanders happy listening!
New streamer @signaforce hmmmm I don’t remember that USB thread. as to break in, don’t worry about it, just enjoy the music. If you don’t hear any changes during the 200hr time period that’s fine. Some cables change, some don’t.
USB to Dual Coax Bridge for Qutest DAC I’ll add - do not make any connections between your components when they’re powered on or in standby. Turn it all off/power down and if you have to, unplug from outlet.
USB to Dual Coax Bridge for Qutest DAC Are you talking about a fuse on the Bricasti? There’s no fuse there. Find a little button on the back of the Bricasti dac by the power cord and press it. That’s the “breaker” so to speaker. That should get the dac back up and running. USB card in ...
Help me find a pre-amp Why not a Mcintosh preamp to pair with your McIntosh amp? It has tone controls that will allow you to adjust for those shitty quality recordings and will have synergy with the McIntosh amp. Also look into warmer cables.
What makes One Music Server Sound Better than Another? @mitch2 few reasons I can think of…start from the point if entry and power supplies. Better Ethernet isolation, better power supplies result in lower noise floor, better processors isolated better to minimize noise, better clock if you’re using co...
USB to Dual Coax Bridge for Qutest DAC Cool. Let’s try everything before it heads back to Bricasti
USB to Dual Coax Bridge for Qutest DAC Have you confirmed the settings are back to ctlremote? And used the standby button to reset it? Reboot the streamer and the reclocker just in case. is usb the input you’re using on the dac? Rebooting the streamer will re-establish the handshake ... |
