Spectral DMA 360 Series 2 with Aerial 20T Normally Spectral gears are matched with Wilson Audio speakers like Maxx3, Sasha, and Sophia. I believe Wilson speakers usually have more weight at the bottom.
VPI cartridge install f/phase inverting pre I have a CJ pre that inverts phase, I swap the + and - at the speaker's end. All my sources are hooked up to the pre. So one swap at the speaker's end is enough. Also, you can tell if it is out of phase by listening.
SoundSmith Sassuro Paula and Manley Steelhead Although the loading options are limited, I did get good result with the Dynavector XV-1s. I used the MM input. Wish you could borrow one to try out.
When a Reviewer "likes" something Jaxwired,Since the existence of Audiogon, I have been buying and selling used equipment for the most part to try out so many different gears. Magazines do provide me information for me to make a choice in the used market although I have to wait fo...
When a Reviewer "likes" something Although many folks don't trust magazine reviews, I do want to give them credits as to keeping us informed of all the latest and high quality equipment in the market. Remember the old days when both TAS and Stereophile were in those smaller size f...

TT stopping in midstream of playback? Perplexed. I feel bad about your experience. I am an analog diehard for over 20 years and have owned a few turntables. Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE Rhljazz,Is your 9SE broken in? If so, how long did it take you? I only have about 7 hours on it.
Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE Pangea site doesn't have the latest information. You need to go to Audio Advisor. I believe both the AC-9 and AC-9SE have the same physical appearance. Both are stiff and heavy. The SE has differenct construction inside. Check Audio Advisor for de...
Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE Rhljazz,Interesting. I got a total different experience than yours with the AC-9SE. Right out of the box, it was a bit rough and edgy on top. After two to three hours, it started mellowing out a bit. It was quite transaprent with good lows, mids a... |
