@georgehifi,You have proven repeatedly you don’t have anywhere near the knowledge to make a comment on someone’s credentials. Your continued lack of understand of even the most basic aspects of amplifier operation, class-D operation, and even basi...
Perfect Path "Solutions" (PPS) eMat
As opposed to one type of rebranded EMI absorbing mat, it is either a thicker rebranded mat and/or rebranded mat with a reflector back to ensure signals pass through both.I remember looking at this company about a year or two ago. I understand the...
Help! Spakers damaged during shipping?Paid insurance (with proof)being told not Insured?
Original shipping containers designed for shipping, packaging obtained from the original manufacturer, is the required minimum - for insurance on packages to be in effect. Probably made 7 or 8 claims on insurance when shipping in the last 20+ ye...
Something amazing - what would you buy
Go with maxwave on this. You don't work with a store on room design you need a professional for that, at least from a design phase.

Article: "Spin Me Round: Why Vinyl is Better Than Digital"
No one is trying to convince you that you are not hearing what you are claiming to hear. They are telling you it has nothing to do with vinyl, that vinyl absolutely does not have superior signal recreation capability, that what you hear is purely ...

Pay someone. At your spend take money out of the equipment and put into room rebuild and acoustic design.  Acoustic drywall, bass traps, absorption panels, diffusers etc.  More than one post can address.

Frogman, for all your experience you still don't get this recording and playback process. I am glad you complained about microphone position. Few recording engineers are overly familiar with effective live ensemble recording. They know what they w...
If you stream music from the internet, I can't recommend this more highly
Optical as in Toslink where the DAC is extracting timing information from the signal (poorly).  Optical ethernet does not have this issue.

I don't see anything in Cyrill Hammer's bio that would suggest the extensive knowledge in signal processing or advanced control theory or even ultra high speed switching for analog reconstruction that would make his opinion any more valid than man...

The term specifically used by the poster was "micro dynamic nuance". That is a made up term.  Micro and macro dynamics within the recording process are not a made up terms and even though "micro" is the nomenclature used, the processes are fairly ...
What is the Silliest Accessory You Have Ever Seen.
Lewm, based on what you posted I would say your knowledge of electronics is sketchy too. It's all relative. Caps don't fail truly hard short, typically partial short and the transformer ends out blowing out the short (and the cap).  The yoghurt ma...

They don't argue about what is real, they argue because many (most?) artists have a much different impression of how they sound versus how they actually do.  Digital captures every wart in their playing or singing. It does not add anything nor tak...
Why so many angry audiophiles?
What about conversations with people who are lying?  Lots of tall tales told on this site.
