Interconnects under floor?
@tvad What did you use for for wall plates? Did you use XLR connector plates or did you have some kind of opening that allows the cables to run directly in/out of your receptacles? I’ve used XLR plates in recording studios but curious if adding 2 ...
For the Audiophile with a taste for good design(looks)....a question.

I've done this in 2 homes now in the last 6 months. 2 lines of 10/2 under the house through 50 ft of crawspace, commando style. I recommend assessing how much physical pain you're willing to endure vs how much money your electrician will charge.
Can speakers cause mental illness?
This is my favorite post.
Innous Zen Mini MK 3
I’ve been on the fence trying to decide on a streamer, leaning toward Innuous (but also considering Auralic G2 or Lumin D2) and my budget is say between 2-4k. Have seen the subjective reviews favoring the Innuous over the Auralic and vice versa. N...
Interconnects under floor?
Perfect. That’s that then, costs me nothing but personal labor. Thanks all for the validation!
Interconnects under floor?
@erik_squires Right of course. This is a brutal crawlspace, my favorite! Under carpet does make sense, I’m just not in the market for new cables really - and it’s ICs not speaker cables - these were a pain to make with Fischer connectors etc. We’l...

So adults, children and animals don’t trip over them upon entering the room. It’s the central room. Records already occupy most of it, I’m walking on thin ice domestically.
THIS GUY TAKES VINYL TO ANOTHER LEVEL!
Nice that Talk Talk was included. Spirit I’d Eden and Laughing Stock are two of the most gorgeous albums ever made.
Opening Record Store
Which record store in the Bay Area? I’ll tell if store is worth it hahaha. But no, just the fact that you’ll have to deal with buying collections and/or b2b accounts with distributors is reason enough to not do it. Vinyl is in the tank right now a...

Is 1990's equipment vintage?
@brownsfan Yes, a man of few words. My drivers were pretty easy to get out, sticky, but nothing a little patience didn’t solve. Are you upgrading crossovers from the originals? Curious, if there is a known upgrade I’m keen to learn more.
Is 1990's equipment vintage?
@brownsfan I have a pair of ADS L1290s as well. I assume you’ve spoken with Richard So? He rebuilt my mids and tops, new old parts. I love these speakers! And yes, vintage.
More power for moderate listening levels?
@hshifi speaks a bunch of truth here in regards to what constitutes a system for dancing, whether or not you subscribe to the cult of Klipsch or not. When it comes to dance music history there's the Richard Long side, but the Klipsch/Levinson comb...

Heresy are efficient so Shindo would be worth checking out, a few of my friends have Klipsch Scalas and Horns paired with Shindo and it’s gorgeous. Hard to find but the Appetite is a 15w integrated.
