Best indoor FM antenna, your experience.
*L* Well, none...but 'what works' seems to be 'site specific', based on the above responses.Try anything, but keep the receipt. ;)
Bose 901 Series ii
kosst, granted....given the 901's design and intent, a stack of them would not be a 'perfect' line array.  It would be louder 'n hell but would exhibit all sorts of warts doing so....Noting that a concert venue's arrays typically have a curvature,...
Shopping for vinyl south Florida, Jupiter
....go about 2,540 mi. southeast of the Great Red Spot, and you'll hit a hydrogen ice floe that has the best selection of the Local Group.  It's a bit windy and ship parking alway sucks, but....Oh, sorry....wrong Jupiter.  My bad.  You can't get t...
Binge sessions
*L*  Beats 'binging' on something less socially acceptable, and if the spouse tolerates it in you....enjoy.  Different strokes, 'n all that...;)
What have I missed in the last 12 years?
I'm a fan of streamcasting since local radio is *meh*.  Connection speeds are up, so there's less dropouts now.  But that'll depend on your wire...The 'connection/wire wars' continue unabated, as do discussions on most anything else.  Tweek as you...
Help
At this point, since the originals are likely unobtainium, test leads...For the truly driven, opening it up and some substitution would be called for.  The warranty went away long ago...'Course, the next question is: Why? *L*  Some vintage is wort...
Is there any advantage to lower efficiency speakers? 87 or below?
Mmm, duplication of 'live' is such a 'moving target'.  Since one is listening to a recording of a live performance (for example) that's gone through myriad equipment and processes in the interval.  It seems to me (IMHO time) that the only way one ...
Looking for vintage system suggestions (maranta, klipsch, etc...)
Older Marantz are nice.  'Warm sound', always seemed more powerful than the specs suggested.  The ones with a mid-range tone control was nice if you don't opt for an outboard eq.  And the wood cabinets were pleasant to have around....*S*
The Slow Secret Death of the Guitar
arcam88, absolutely.  There's still some good stick licks going on, but they tend to be one or two on an album.  The rest, contract filler...But I'm pretty picky.  If it don't make something smile within, or rustle some leaves on this wilted tree,...
Bose 901 Series ii
Stack enough of them and you'll have a version of the typical live concert line array.  Insanely loud, and capable of accepting more power than your home wiring can handle.  Can break any lease that any fool would let you sign.  Would bring the lo...
Jerry Garcia, A Legacy?
The 'Wall of Sound' was brilliant.  What came through it...subject to debate. ;)
Jerry Garcia, A Legacy?
Having been to a couple of GD concerts, I did happen to notice the great majority of the listeners were 'altered' in some fashion or another.  They, like the majority of any group, had their good days and the not-so-good ones.  The albums and stud...
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
Those who can afford them, swear by them. Those who can't, do without. Those who can, swear they can hear the differences. Those who can't, can't really care. And hasn't this issue been beat to a pulp enough?  It really starts taking on the appearance...
RMS Power?
When it comes to watts, there never seems to be enough to satisfy some, regardless of how it's measured.Ultimately, if you can't stay in the same space with it, it ought to be enough.  Unless you're hooked on the smell of things starting to fry.  ...
Jerry Garcia, A Legacy?
Ah, the Dead...still among the living....*S*Although not a 'camp follower', I still enjoy and admire what I heard when...and having heard the Wall of Sound live on a 'better day' for the band, it's still a 'high water mark' on the wall of my mind....
