What CD player compares to NAD C545BEE? Thanks, Hieule5.
What CD player compares to NAD C545BEE? Will do. Thanks.
What CD player compares to NAD C545BEE? Thanks. Thanks for reinforcement.
Looking for amplifier kits. Thanks for info. Lynne
Looking for amplifier kits. I too am surprised by the NAD and Levinson. I can't see Levinson risking their name on a kit that someone could botch up. Lynne
Does biwiring change impedence? Yes. Thank you, Al. It's very cool. I can chew on it for days. Thank you also for the reference to the website on biwiring. I am biamped and have never biwired, but I never knew why biwiring was superior to single core wiring. Thanks to everyone. ...
Does biwiring change impedence? OK. When an amp is bridged, is impedence cut in half absolutely, or is the impedence inversely proportional to the power gained? My Citation 7.1 is rated at 130W x 4 and 400W X 2 bridged stereo. I think it puts out 1KW into 1 ohm.
Does biwiring change impedence? The system was two stereo amps in bridged mono and the owner of the system had them biwired to his 4 ohm Paradigm speakers. I think it would be better to run the amps in stereo and biamp, but that is the way it was. The amps were H/K 16's upgraded...
Who makes a 4-way speaker besides Revel? OK. I'll go for it. I've got a good iron. Might practice a little first. Thanks a lot. Lynne
Who makes a 4-way speaker besides Revel? Forgot to mention--nothing is wrong with the 9's. They still sound really fine. I guess they'd sound finer, though, if the crossovers were upgraded--so I'm told by various sources. Lynne
Who makes a 4-way speaker besides Revel? Thanks for info. Jaybo, glad to hear your opinion that 9's are still competitive. Haven't auditioned any really high end speakers. Might be better off then to rebuild crossovers. I refoamed them myself but am afraid to tackle crossovers. Sounds li...
impedance matching--could you dumb it down 4 me? I've been learning--i hope--about impedence matching and have been studying Transformer Volume Controls. According to my source, a tvc's input impedence is dependent in part on its load. Does anyone know if this is true for other gain stages (TVC'...
Straight wire and gain linestage? Sorry, Bob. I wasn't making a joke. I'm dyslexic and I thought, maybe he's dyslexic too. I found a Lead preamp with Russian tubes in the volume control, which I thought was funny. They were guarranteed for 90 days. But then I found the ELAD. It lo...
Straight wire and gain linestage? OK. I don't know how to predict the outcome of those issues. I'll probably have to try one. Thanks. Lynne
Straight wire and gain linestage? 6 decibels of gain would be enough, I'm sure. I've got Rothwell attenuators on the amp right now. It's a goal to get rid of those eventually, but I've got four of them on the 4 channel amp because in the interum I refoamed my AR 9's and have them ... |
