Streaming Sound Quality - Want the very best sound quality? Network Acoustics ENO... Is the NE USB cable designed to work optimally with their components, e.g. ENO, are can it work on its own? I would like to try it between my Sonore opticalRendu streamer and DAC.
Luxman 590axii with KEF Reference 1 Yes without a doubt the Luxman 590 will give you amazing bass. For some reason, Luxman seriously under rates the power specs. I was driving my Sonus Faber Olympica 2 with Audio Research GSI75 and the sound the KT150s made was quite good. But once ...
Moving up the Harbeth line @senza — this is for my second system in the home office. I appreciate the suggestion, but unfortunately Kensington’s are not even in the ballpark given the price. I’m actually looking at Sterlings but not too many available in the used market.
Moving up the Harbeth line @speakermaster -- sorry I just realized that you recommended Spendor S100 as another option. Thanks, I will research this brand.
Help me complete my stereo system (Harbeth, ClearAudio Concept). @juleman -- which Luxman model are you looking at? IMO, their entry level integrated amp (505, 550) is not that great of a value for the money. The real Luxman magic happens at 507, 509, 590 level. Anything below that, you’re better off with Yamah...
Audio envy - dang! @jayctoy Yes, it is a new offering from AE. I'm not sure why the Mega 3 is not listed on their webpage. Maybe it's not cost effective or takes up too much manufacturing time. But I can tell you it's really amazing!
The Exogal saga continued.... I’m with OP on this one. It’s funny how the CEO conveniently sidesteps the topic of the remote control. Instead of coming here and shaming your customer, why not send the remote first and then justify the reasons.
Now I am in a Delimma In my experience, the problem with this type of sound is that while they get your attention during short auditions, the same 'live' sound characteristic might be too much for longer listening sessions. The Klipsch speakers that I have auditioned a...
Moving up the Harbeth line @redwoodaudio -- what a beautiful room you have there! I could sense the calm and serenity just by looking at the pictures. @chorus -- I had never heard of Danny or GR Research for that matter. But will definitely check him out. Thanks for the sug...
Moving up the Harbeth line To those who commented on the C7s, I agree that the room, associated equipment, and setup make a huge difference. I only heard them once for a short duration, and it is quite possible that it was a one-off. I would love to audition it again, but u...
Horn speakers , high efficiency but not “shouty” A friend owns the Zeus Ellipse DX45 speaker. It's a back loaded horn design, and the guys says it's one of the best he's ever owned. I have never heard it in person (he lives in another state), but something I might consider in the future.
Moving up the Harbeth line Also @whipsaw and @big_greg -- both the M30 and SHL5+ remain very high on my wish list. I need to decide which one will be a better fit for my listening room. I feel that M30 is probably going to be in the sweet spot that I'm looking for, i.e. ret...
Moving up the Harbeth line @mspot -- you might be right about the power specs on the Blackhawk. But from now having owned it for a few months, I can tell you that this unit goes just as loud, with appropriate dynamics, as my previous Cronus Magnum II which was rated at 100 ...
Moving up the Harbeth line Appreciate the responses. So I measured the distance again, and I was a bit off. I sit almost 9 feet away from the speakers, not that it makes that big of a difference. So the previous room was not that much smaller at 10x13 but had 10 foot ceilin...
Moving up the Harbeth line BTW, I purposely left out the C7ES3 model. Heard them at a friend's house a few years ago, and found them to be a bit too high energy for my taste. Also, I sit about 7 feet away from the speakers. |
