Ditch your USB cable for Toslink? Might surprise you! @treynolds155 Assuming a properly implemented asynchronous USB connection, the Dac slaves the server to its clock, i.e. the Dac’s clock controls the chain. Assuming a high quality clock in the DAC this ascertains absence of timing errors, aka ji...
Basic switch....should I upgrade? I guess the InnuOS Phoenix Ehrerregen is the most credible attempt by a manufacturer so far. Disappointing, though that there seems to be no common clock between the two Phoenixes (Etherregen, USB), the server and the DAC in that model.
Basic switch....should I upgrade? @lalitk, again: agreed. Given the substantial impact of the 10m clock on the Etherregen as well as the contribution of the Ocxo-switch I am not convinced that mere filtering suffices, though…
Basic switch....should I upgrade? @lalitk, good analogy, only difference: I prevent muck from coming in rather than water leaking out😇. Scary though how every little bit helps. You‘d think a decent designer could do better!
Ditch your USB cable for Toslink? Might surprise you! The OP omits the clock synchronisation in USB that slaves the server to the DAC. A well clocked USB asynchronous connection with a good cable in normal circumstances is superior to Toslink.
What cable companies make the best cables and sell them directly? On analogue cables I highly recommend Auditorium23, the next best thing to Shindo. On digital Sommercables is a great choice
Basic switch....should I upgrade? @wsrrsw, Glad to hear it‘s working. Although it sounds like overkill, I use an Ethernet isolator (EMO EN70-HD) directly at the streamer for good effect (l.e. after the Etherregen‘s moat) Don‘t know why but it works a treat. If you want to go furt...
cheapest cable upgrade ever correct
cheapest cable upgrade ever 9v does have + and - next to each other, therefore allignment with the cable not possible. I use 2 Aaas per cable
cheapest cable upgrade ever @rumi An electric field inside the battery builds up, pointing from the + terminal to the − terminal. This field opposes the motion of H+ ions — they cannot cross to the + terminal, and the reaction stops. When the terminals are connected by a c...
cheapest cable upgrade ever @gregm, no Sir, no connecting.,Just tape the battery with orientation of signal direction. It creates a,weak electric field which is sufficient
cheapest cable upgrade ever …I wouldn’t presume. Just look atAudioquest pricing….
Basic switch....should I upgrade? Again, decisive is what gets to the converter. Latency is not the problem, RFI/EMI, ground level noise and timing errors are. Adding switches helps with those.
Basic switch....should I upgrade? @vinylvalet Latency in audio applications is not a significant problem, easily addressed by buffering. Clocking accuracy, though is a whole other matter. Your friend clearly works in the digital domain. Analogue/digital conversion takes complete...
Basic switch....should I upgrade? @wsrrsw i have had very substantial benefits from reclocking both the Etherregen and the DACs conversion and USB link; as mentioned YMMV. Reclocking and fltering are different things: In addition to reclocking I use a DXE ISO plus filter and an Em... |
