Why is it that every time, lately, that I'm interested in a thread... Honestly, politics should not come into any discussion of audio equipment. Lest you be tone- deaf on either left or right ear
Innuos Zenith Mk3: Won’t Start Properly! Make sure that the IEA plug of the PC is unplugged and then fully inserted, it solved the same issue for me once. I am on Sense 2.2.5 and that’s not the issue. Good luck!
Why don't higher end amplifiers come with a separate power chassis? It comes down to the ratio of transformer noise to output signal: high on preamp, low on power amp.
The best plug in filter ever! I have a number of Akiko products. They all do what it says on the tin very well
Are cables additive or subtractive? @jtcf Might as well hang a sock over your tweeter. Cables as tone control? So NOT!
Game Changing Tweak Eau4 has twice the antennae and therefore a larger field. AddPowr is not stripping away anything. I got both Furutech and add powr. I use the Furutech on my Isotek vision power scrubber and the Eau2 on the router. Try the Furutech on the router ma...
What Could Cause Center Image To Present Lower than Expected @kingharold I was obviously referring to additional tilting from the manufacturer’s instructions
What Could Cause Center Image To Present Lower than Expected Not a great fan of tilting. On most conventional speakers the tweeter is mounted on top and should be at ear height. Tilting it backwards creates issues with phase allignment if you have multiple non alligned drivers in your speakers.
Are cables additive or subtractive? @eric-squires, if high frequency roll-off from cables in your system resulted in improved spatial rendition chances are that you had RFI distortion somewhere in the chain. Cables are rarely anything other than an impedance/capacitance match or mi...
Are cables additive or subtractive? Unfortunately my experience is that they are contextual: their specific resistance, impedance and capacitance characteristics work well in one setting and are negative in another, This applies equally to digital and analogue connections. And the p...
USB yet again @vthokie83 A DDC reclocks the USB connection. Therein may lie the principle benefit to SQ, probably not in using another port on the DAC.
What was the first CD with great drums?? On audiophile: Charly Antolini Knockout
What was the first CD with great drums?? Sweet smoke Just a poke: incredible drums and percussion

I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work! @ambr1600 Bravo. This should be mandatory reading for all flat earthers on the Cable and Tweaks fora. Could you add a few lines on conductivity, impedance and resistance in cables with their impact on phase and frequency response… and if you fee... |
