Interesting situation! Do we need this....
@rbertalotto -- Your accidental discovery highlights what I've been preaching to anyone that'll listen since purchasing my Fluance RT-85 Turntable in 2018.  That is....Fluance gear punches WAY ABOVE its weight class and price point.  Absolutely em...

The rising incidents of "Thread Removed By Moderator" has also become a huge annoyance to me regarding Audiogon's discussion forum.  With each passing week, it appears more and more to me that Audiogon has relocated to Pyongyang.

@bigtwin -- Perfect summation.  I tip my "Miller Lite" tall-boy in your honor.  😎
Sad to hear the good people at Timbernation had a fire (and no insurance).
@stereo5  -- Agree 1 Million Percent   I retired at age 55 after a fantastic 30-year career owning an Insurance and Financial Services corporation.  I met some wonderful people over the years, and took pride in knowing my efforts helped thousand...
Advice for a new analog system
@edgyhassle    Thanks, man.  I've found one can put together an end-game vinyl system without spending the kind of money you would spend on an automobile.  I really like the Rega P8 and P10 -- insanely good turntables.
Advice for a new analog system
@ftrot    You have an amazing core system right now, and I'd love to be in your position as you go on your vinyl journey.  You have gotten some great advice from Members who are much more knowledgeable than myself -- all I can add is the recomme...

@thyname, Yep...I'm old!  And the same "uplifting" wishes for you in 2023  🤘😎🤘
Please tell me the wait will be work it......my rack
@thyname    "I personally implied genitals (I.e male dick)"   I wish I were that clever!  😂  Alas, that it not at all what I meant when I said "wooden sound".  I was just making a play on words since I had described using 2 x 4 wooden planks...

Admin,    Can you private message me and tell me what profanity was used?  I have no recollection of using any profanity in the post.  I'd seriously like to know what was removed.  If I slipped up and indeed used profanity, I am truly sorry and ...
Speakers that are good with tubes
In my humble opinion, I can't ever picture myself pushing Klipsch speakers with anything OTHER than tube amplification -- to me that combination is just a match made in heaven.  I am not that familiar with a wide variety of horn speakers, but musi...

This site is becoming more and more like North Korea with the actions of the Moderator’s. (Let’s see how long this comment stays up -- posted at 5:16 p.m).   I see Forum Members joking back and forth with others on this site all the time, especi...
Should I buy an SME 30/12A for 15K?
If you have the money to spend, and spending it will not impact your ability to eat or pay rent, then yes, that is one hell of a deal.  However, just because it is a third of the normal retail price doesn't mean it is going to be the turntable set...
If there was only ONE album/cd/release you can listen to, over and over.............
Of course the band is Pink Floyd, but I go with "Animals" instead of "Dark Side Of The Moon".  I never tire of Gilmour's crunchy Strat sound on "Dogs".
Only two tracks to test your system, forever!
@femoore12   Thanks, man. I could have gone on and on, but reined myself in! 😆   Those 5 tracks make a great playlist for a 30-minute drive, workout, or walk with the Fur GrandDogs. Glad you liked!

"Telegraph Road" -- Dire Straits "Anesthetize" -- Porcupine Tree "Blackest Eyes" -- Porcupine Tree (I get chills everything I hear Steven Wilson’s whispered backtrack in the first verse, "It’s so erotic when your makeup runs.") "Coil" and "Hei...
