Kind of Blue Anything by Ben Webster
Are there other people like me ? Amazed by their low cost system :) I love my low cost office system. I repurposed speaker boxes, installed seas dual concentric drivers with recommended crossovers powered by a used Hegel H160 integrated amp and stream via a blue sound node. I recently added a small sealed REL su...
Differences in YouTube, Spotify, etc. I like Deezer, but wouldn't mind a trial run of Qobuz as it seems all the cool kids use it.
New Streamer, DAC or Let it Be I have a blue sound streamer coupled with a Bryston DAC. I find the best audio improvements come from the source of my music streaming service. E.G. Radio Paradise seems to have better quality audio than a lot of what I get from Deezer. So maybe m...
Transparent Audio is anything but Transparent How on earth would a company "recalibrate" these fancy speaker cables?
3-4 dB dip at crossover region: what should I listen for to hear it? I just read the review and Amir from ASR actually put that speaker on his recommended list. Beyond measurements, he was pleased with the sound.
Anyone listen to Music on a FM tuner anymore? I too remember the days of commercial free, album rock stations. What an era! How did they survive at all? I used to play my radio all night to the music. I got so much of my musical background from that format and especially the show King Biscui...
Happy Holidays to All All the well-wishes at Christmas on Audiogon remind me of a story from WWI. The fighting between trenches stopped on Christmas and gifts were supposedly tossed between trenches! I hope that's a true story. My analogy to Audiogon is a very farfetc...
Robert Plant I have many fond memories of listening to Led Zeppelin and still listen on occasion. I probably started listening at age 13 or so and remember the original bright pink cassette tapes well over 50 years ago! I didn't have a clue then that one of m...
Is there such a thing as a good medium priced music streamer? I like my Bluesound streamer(s). However the recently released "upgrade" I find a little less intuitive than the previous. Still a pretty good app though.
Are you on or off? What say you? Off for now. I have enough different components that I can mix and match when I desire a different sound.
Need a new integrated, what say you? I bought a used Hegel H160 a couple of year ago and think it is a wonderful integrated amp.
Bluesound "upgrade" 4.0 I had a list of issues with both the Mac desktop version as well the Android app that was too long to list. I was having serious doubts, but all appears well now. Whew! Amazing how much I rely on my streaming system and how frustrating it can be...
Sansui? Might want to check in with the Audiokarma website. Those folks are knowledgeable on the vintage stuff and you're less likely to encounter a flame war.
How easily can you distinguish between different DACs? I don't have really expensive DAC's, but what I do have are: Bryston BDA2 Dedicated DAC Internal DAC on my McIntosh C47 preamp Internal DAC on my HEGEL H160 integrated Topping D30 Pro Dedicated DAC Internal DAC on my Bluesound player When I ... |
