Where is Your Turntable?
I posted this in another thread but it might be helpful in the context of this thread, too. When attempting use of a wall mount rack, be careful before drilling holes and positioning other associated equipment (regardless of table). Room nodes can ...
Teres Owners - Please help
When attempting use of a wall mount rack, be careful before drilling holes and positioning other associated equipment (regardless of table). As Schroder mentions, room nodes can be an issue - a serious issue. I built a wall rack using 1000lb rated...

Then, please, try harder. :-)
Where is Your Turntable?
Veddy eeenteresting, thus far. Patrick, I built my absorption paenl based on the Jon Risch recipe. I have pics of various contruction phases should you have interest. They're easily built.
Where is Your Turntable?
Believe it or not, I once toyed with the idea of constructing a sliding track with a 3" maple base which would slide back and forth through the wall between my music room and the adjoining room. "In" to change the record and "out" when spinning. A...
To Play, or Not to Play?
Oh, I have a few duplicates that are sealed, and I'm hanging on to those for similar reasons, Aceto. I think what some object to, or at least find difference in philosphy with, are those who keep them as "trophy" finds - as in "look what I've got"...
To Play, or Not to Play?
Smoke 'em if you got 'em, I always say.
Selling McCormack Upgraded Gear
Jmc, I fully understood that the poster was not talking about the quality of the Mc upgrades, though even while Aggie has Mc products, one might get the impression that the quality was in some question given the title of this thread. Or, at least ...
Selling McCormack Upgraded Gear
I'm not really sure WHY the lack of return on the amount invested in mods. Maybe it has to do with some "untrust" in that the mods were ALL done by a reputable "modder" (like Steve McCormack) or an uncertainty that other things might have also bee...

Best Neil Young Album?
My son is a big Young fan. He shares Lugnut's favorite song of Cortez. For some reason, it took me a long, long time to find a mint copy of Zuma without paying through the teeth. My sentimental favorite is still Harvest with respect to the full LP...
Phonostage w/volume options
Personally, I would not even consider an IO unless it WAS the Signature version. The non-Sig is a very poor value, IMHO. The Sig is wonderful, but out of my reach financially. If it is within yours, it IS worth a listen.
How to seperate headshell/arm on AudioQ PT-6?
I cannot speak to how one would rewire the arm, but would suggest that you pursue doing so. I once had a PT-6 and later bought a Loth-X modified PT-6 (which is rewired, has the fluid pot eliminated and is fitted with a modified cable). Night and d...
Pearl Jam - Rearview mirror on vinyl
Ludwig probably did the best he could with a big, steamin' pile o' shite! That was my conclusion after listening to this set and considering the previous PJ vinyl offerings.
Phonostage w/volume options
If you like the Art Audio piece, I would strongly suggest that you contact Kevin Carter of K&K Audio (kandkaudio.com) and look in to one of his phono stages fitted with a volume control. It will actually perform more on the order of an Art Aud...
