Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
Nice to hear from so many, this really is a great place to bounce ideas off the walls.
Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
Thank you, yes, I've experimented with speaker placement extensively, and have stands that have the tweeters at ear level.  I didn't get a chance to change out my cd player last night, but will do so today and also cables.
Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
The room has the usual wallboard walls and ceiling.  I didn't mention that aside of the 17x18 ft room, there is an offshoot, an "L" that is 10 x 16 with 8 ft ceiling.  the whole space is kind of a work out/multi use/storage area.  The main part ha...
Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
I think the JC2 would be out of my budget at this point. I’d like to keep the amp for sure unless a really fine integrated is an option. I listened to the P7 again after I started this thread, and it really does sound pretty nice. I’m just wonderi...
Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
Just to be clear, the C356BEE is an integrated amp and the Nad C565BEE was their top CD player.  With an ipod doc I can connect my phone and pass digital to the C565BEE as it has digital inputs and also functions as a DAC.  Either way, thank you b...
Replacing Parasound p7, but with what?
I've received other communication suggesting it's not the Parasound stuff.  When I compared using the same tracks, it seemed to me that a Nad C356BEE had a little more high frequency detail, though it was not as refined as the Halo gear.I'll try s...
Oppo 105D high frequencey sizzling issue anyone help me suggesting a mod that i can do or?
Good news that you were able to find a solution, I've heard really good things about the 105.  I've still got a 103 that serves me well about 3 years in.

I had a similar experience with an Oppo 95, but it was a somewhat strong sibilance that presented itself in the vocals, whenever an "s" was pronounced. It turned out the amp and pre were quite a bright combination that was having a cumulative effe...
2.0 Stereo speakers on a $2000 budget?
I'm not sure whether the OP is still lurking about, but since I'm a C356BEE owner as well, I thought I'd share my experience.  NAD sounds great with Tannoy, and I'd opt for the concentric tweeter design mounted in the center of the drivers.  Aside...
Current NAD integrated amps, what are your impressions?
From what I've read, for more recent Nad integrated amps that develop issues, that's one of the main ones.  I'm not sure what percentage of these amps develop problems, but of the 5 recent Nad products I've owned, the remote died on a C372, and th...

In post 18 you asked again about the amp, source and preamp, and mentioned not trying to be pushy.  It's always important to read the entire thread before asking questions that may have already been answered, gdnrbob.  It's not a long thread, so i...

He listed the integrated amp in the 11th post.

I'm afraid I can't answer that for you since I can't sit in your room with both Tannoys and Klipsch speakers, and I also don't have your preferences(I assume).  It's tough buying without demoing first, though I've done plenty of that myself.  My T...

Goodness, it's not his amp or fuses.  The Maggies are a fussy speaker for placement, that's Maggy knowledge 101.  Suggesting that someone try a Bryston, when he's got quite a respectable integrated amp, does not seem helpful.  If the speakers aren...

I bought a pair of Tannoy floor standers several months ago after becoming somewhat disenchanted with music reproduction in my system. I believe my Tannoys are an earlier version of the XT6, 2 6 inch drivers with a tweeter in the concentric design...
