I second Matt at Pitch Perfect Audio - incredible service, great to talk to, and very laid back and relaxed atmosphere at his shop.
Even if outside your price range, this well tell you what's possible with tubes (and be upfront with Matt, I am sure he'll understand). I also started into tubes with a Jolida 302b and since then tried SET amps and finally ended up with a wonderful set of Shindo amps.
