15k USD Speakers for Classical and Pop Extended Listening, Near setup, Low volume

Dear Audiophiles,

I am looking for some speakers for my home office. Speakers would be place 6ft from me on either side of my desk. Speakers will be 8 ft apart.

I love classical music and pop. I am looking for speakers for extended listening at not very high volume. They should be warm and non fatiguing.

I am currently considering following speakers:

1. Monitor Audio Gold 300

2. ATC SCM40

3. Kef R7 Meta

Do you have any other suggestions. Thanks and appreciate your help!

@OP You would be better off with a pair of Harbeths is you want some thing leaning towards a warmer presentation. If you are considering the speakers you've mentioned, as per pennfootball71, have a listen to one of the Genelec G series. You're effectively creating a nearfield monitoring setup so a domesticated studio monitor could be a good choice.

Have you heard Focal Sopra No.1s?  Outstanding range, clarity, and imaging stand mount compact speaker. Run with Naim Uniti Nova as Roon endpoint.

I have ATC SCM40’s in an arrangement not totally different from what you have, including a large reflective coffee table in front of my sofa. The key aspect of the ATC’s is that they are very essy to place in rooms to get optimal imaging. They do play loud very well but that midrange driver gives plenty of life at low volumes. I like listening to them at modest listening levels as well. The reflective surface doesn’t affect the sound much, the spatial information in my system is as good as I have heard anywhere.

The ATC’s are very modestly priced now, I recommend them highly.
