Used Bryston 7b-SST or Emotive XPA-DR1

I have a pair of Thiel CS 3.7s and a limited budget.

I was putting off testing the XPA-DR1s, but have the option to pick up the Bryston 7B-SSTs.

However the Bryston is almost 20 years old and can not be returned.

I can't find any recent reviews to compare the Bryson with a newer XPA-DR1.

thoughts and reviews greatly appreciated,

Bryston has a Back To The Future program for their amps 20 years older and up. They will bring your amp up to spec. You also get a limited 3 year warranty,. Used Bryston amps are one of the safest buys on the market. They will fix any amp they have made. One of the best companies in audio.

It's definitely not a hard decision, go for the Bryston if the emotiva breaks it's not worth fixing. Bryston is quite reasonable if you need service on the amp later, plus the build quality is a lot better than emotiva.
