Is Odyssey Power amp Stratos better than Krell?

Hi,

Would like to ask you guys about odyssey stratos power amplifier (extreme & monoblock range). Does this amp really good compare to, i.e Krell, plinius?

lots of reviewers gave high rating (audioreview) and they claimed that the sound is better than Krell, Plinius...very transparent, firm bass and imaging.

I'm using Krell KSA80B, are they better for a change?..I Listen to Sting, norah jones, Sarah McLachlan, Radiohead, Coldplay..etc.

Thanks for any inputs

I agree, the newer Krell does not seem harsh and reacts well to changes in cables. I've found the better quality copper cables to work well.
like everything else in life its all subjective-blond or redhead-petite or large-
i do own a odyssey system-4 monos(2extreme) and a tempest-
klaus will bend over backwards to help his people-that alone is reason to try a odyssey product
IMHO, Odyssey amps are THE BEST in their price point. No other amp in this price point has this superb build quality and internal parts...

Congratulations to Klaus.
I replaced an Odyssey Stratos that has the cap upgrade with the Krell KAV400xi integrated. No comparison, the Krell has it all over the Odyssey. While the Odyssey sounded fine at lower volumes, it became unstable when pushed, literally loosing control of the woofers. The Krell is very balanced with tremendous control, it seemed to have limitless clean power. It sounds balanced and real at all volumes. The Odyssey was warmer while the Krell is more precise.

I'm glad I made the switch. IMO of course.
