“Chester & Lester “ entire cd .,,,( Chet Atkins & Les Paul duet on their guitars )
Your favorite obscure song
What song in your music inventory do you consider a barely known hidden gem? Like a well kept secret know only to a few that you can listen to over and again.
For me it's 'Roads to Moscow' from Al Stewart's 'Past Present and Future' album.
The music, the lyrics, the story it tells is- to be just slightly hyperbolic- brilliant.
Check it out, especially if your a WW2 history buff.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.😁
Removed my favorite music post...because...it’s music? I love the way a mere mention of a song can be censored. I'm going to ask folks at Audio Circle and other forums if this happens there. Ok, well my NEW favorite song is "God Bless the U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood. Will that survive the censors? Oh sweet destiny, please accept my humble submission.

@dweller Good call on Pretty Ballerina. Great old song. I think I was probably in 8th grade. Loved it. I can't narrow it down to one favorite but Fisher "Never Say Never" from the True North album is really good. I also like how they covered "Cats In The Cradle" on their Acoustic Cafe 2 album. I think the whole CD is good, pretty much the same for True North. Never been a big MIchael Jackson fan but his video "Man In The Mirror" is very good. Without the video, maybe not as great but a powerful video. OK, nobody asked for videos. Sorry, had to mention it. |
