I listen all of the time. I really disdain futzing with wires. It is only when I attack the back-ends of my system that things can really go wrong.....
Yesterday I spent the entire day...
...listening, for a change! I finally replaced my cart, got it set up properly (finally!) and after tweaking the anti-skating for a few sides, sat back and basically listened all day and night, save for few excursions. I must have gotten at least a solid 9-10 hours of listening in...even let a side of Sigur Ros play while I was in the shower (where, oddly, I can still hear the hi-fi quite well)...and after getting the anti-skating right, I wasn't compelled to jump up all the time and check things as I'd been doing. Very novel indeed, and so refreshing! Now I remember why I spent all that money! I decided I need to do this all the time...besides, I need to get that cart broken in, heehee :)
