XA30.5 single ended connection

Hi,

how much do I lose when running the Pass XA30.5 unbalanced (single ended)compared to balanced?
I have a source (Dac) which is single ended but offers xlr outputs.
Over here in Germany I remember a review which says the XA30.5 should be run balanced.If run single ended the sound would decrease quite significantly.
Is this true?
Has anyone compared this amp driven either way?

I have run the XA30.5 both with balanced (XLR) and single ended (RCA).

Use the Shorting plug in the XLR input when running single ended.

The difference is is not worth worrying about, a slightly less distortion, and noise level with balanced.

Pass is always better run balanced.
