Well, I have (4) JL-Audio F-113 subs near the corners in my room. I like being able to set the calibration adjustments for each in the room independently.

Would you choose 1 bigger sub or 2 smaller ones?
For a living room 6 x 8 meters (speakers on the smaller side). (3.5meters high)
