well what do you think, anybody out there with such a variety of tone and colour?
Or is it just the incredible quality of the recording that makes me think that?
kefas
Hispanic perhaps?

This Guy comes up high in a google search on the topic. Google should know..... :^)

This Gal might be the prettiest I have seen and sounds top notch as well.
He's certainly a good trumpet player, but do you really like that music? I'm not saying it's bad - except it is. New-Age noodling at it's best. I really don't mean to be negative. If you like the music, that's all that counts. It does have sort of a meditative quality to it, so anything that helps one relax is OK in my book.
well I think one has to watch out with the word best, but I'd say that Andre Heuvelman must be one of the worlds foremost trumpet players.Incredible beauty and command of tone color.
One of the best alive today IMHO is a local hero (Pittsburgh) named Sean Jones. He tours around world with all the greats. Check out his albums on Spotify . I saw him play a short set at a small club , after playing that evening with The Pittsburgh Symphony. I must say I was blown away with his superb tone and improve skills. I recall stating to my wife, that might be the greatest musician I have ever seen.
I hope you guys check him out. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, Albert. Must be an iPad issue; not working for some reason. Will try Youtube.

That's curious, I have two iPhones, a new iPad, Mac Pro Laptop and Mac Pro tower. All of these access the site and play music.

Of course our Win machine works too, unknown why you could not access.

*****Or is it just the incredible quality of the recording that makes me think that******

Yep, it must be the quality of the recording.

Cheers
Nice, but I could never agree on "best". For example, I like Hubbard's tone, Armstrong's swing, Miles' sense of space, etc. No one person can do it all.
Don't seem to be able to access the files from the site's home page. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I read your post and my first thought was,

"OK, this is going to be another audiophile recording of a mediocre musician."

I was wrong, the samples were amazing. This guy is great, I don't think anyone can hold the title of "best" trumpet player but he is wonderful.

I wish this was available on LP but that being said I may have to download the album.

It's the artist, I was listening on my computer.
Louis Armstrong said Bunny Berigan can’t do no wrong in music,” and Berigan’s skills were often compared favorably to Satchmo’s. Benny Goodman described his solos as, “a bolt of electricity running through the whole band . . . he just lifted the whole thing.”
