Wondrous DAC

Anyone looking to get a DAC, I highly recommend the Gungnir Multibit from Schiit.
Its truly miraculous!  It opened up my system to a new world of sound.
You can’t count all the colors of the sonic spectrum it reveals. And the definition is incredibly revealing without being clinical. The presentation on my system is holographic.
I was using an excellent vintage Theta DAC previously. This blows it away in every category.

I don’t work for the company, but this is some good Schiit!

Great! My impression is that the latest DACs are both very affordable and very much vinyl like sounding but with even more detail and resolution.

"And the definition is incredibly revealing without being clinical." <-- this is to me the big benefit of the latest generation of DACs. Previously I always felt digital lost some smoothness and felt a wee bit clinical compared to vinyl. No longer!
I replaced the Theta DS Pro Prime.
It served me well for many years.
It offered a somewhat “Technicolor” presentation:
very warm and vivid but slightly lacking in detail.
I only realized this lack of detail when I utilized the Gungnir.
