The Maxx series seems to share the Focal inverted dome tweeter, which was OK but bested by later tweets in terms of smoothness, extension and off-axis response.
The Focal has it’s own signature, and performs distinctly differently with a little turning. This can be quite useful for the right listener and room.
I’d suggest if you want more treble, you could always reduce the bass and midrange. Also, consider adding diffusion to your room.
